All questions she's never been askedβ so she's never spent any time thinking of answers. Three years on the island and this is the first time she's revealed personal information that provides no aid to current problems... it feels strange. To not be afraid of it, at least not
She considers not answering, as if this tiny piece of information could cause something to go wrong. But she supposes that's how he gets peopleβ that innocent, trusting face of his. Another long moment of silence before relenting with a sigh, "The twenty-first."
She ignores the subtle movement, though it isn't much ignorance when she notices it anyway. Still, she's glad to finally escape his watch, letting out a soft breath of her own. A quiet grumble, as if it's an inconvenience to answerβ which she does anyway. "January."
She manages to hold his stare until it somehow becomes overwhelming, as if there were any physical part of it. Attention is redirected upward once more, noting the way the stars stand out more clearly against the dark backdrop of the sky. Deep breath. "It's nothing."
Another hum, sparing another look at him, lingering a bit longer this time. Stunned silence, eyes slightly wide, as she waits for something elseβ but that's the end of the sentiment, and she hesitates before responding. "...of course I did. I'm not a liar."
Again, she only glances in his direction, not daring to hold his gaze for more than a second. She's not sure why, but she's glad the sky is dark enough to hide the color staining pale skin. Slight shrug, eyes closing momentarily. "It was fine. Usual."
"Good." A good decision to leave him alone for most of the day, too. She'd say he deserves a quiet day more often, but this will have to do. Shoulders slump with an exhale, now leaning back until she lays flat against the blanket, gaze pointed straight up.
Nothing but a quiet hum in response, glancing in his direction onceβ then away when she notices he's looking, too. Ignoring the warmth in her cheeks, deciding to blame it on the remainder of the sun. "Was your day good?"
Once he's seated, she directs her attention above, to the changing colors of the sky. Good; she wasn't too late to catch the end of the sunset. A subtle swell of pride within her chest, nodding once. "I know."

Long strides lead them out the door and into a patch of grass nearbyβ not daring to go too far, in case any eyes are watching. Silent as she spreads the blanket out, then sits down atop it. Gesturing for him to do the same.
She's already turning to lead the way by the time his answer comes, focus straight ahead. "Outside. It isn't too cold yet."

She stands there, blanket rolled up and tucked under her arm when she meets his gaze. Tiny, subtle smile. "Armin. Are you ready?"
Knocking at @BertoltCruncher's door. Knock knock knock.
