A conversation re Remigration with the Hon Shane Jones. 18/10/2026 - Christchurch NZF Rally @mangonui08 is the Minister for Oceans and Fisheries, Minister for Regional Development, Minister for Resources, Associate Minister of Finance, and Associate Minister for Energy. “I had a question regarding comments made over the last few weeks by Winston Peters about immigration. @winstonpeters , the other day, said he opposed the concept of diversity, but only a week or so before that he said he opposed remigration. I’m trying to figure out how you can balance the two when remigration is the logical tool @nzfirst could use to restore a homogeneous state” - @NZNPILLED “Yeah no we agree with you, but we are here in a situation where Jacinda (@jacindaardern) let 245,000 people stay here, and gave them fucking residency. Fucking residency, unbelievable, unbelievable. That's a quarter of a million people, there’s only five million of us here. unless you have essential integrating values, then you’ll end up with this awful situation that they’ve got in Australia. Where there are neighbourhoods that are run by the muslims, and in London, where they have sharia courts.” - @mangonui08 “would you say then that, the rhetoric of your party is opposed to remigration, but internally your caucus is more in line with it?” - @NZNPILLED “Yeah so our caucus is hell bent on getting the immigration portfolio, and then preventing the flow, at the current levels of migration, so that it does not threaten social cohesiveness. But if we degenerate this debate down into terms that are tossed around on internet debates, then you will find you will not be able to consensus politically. Unless you have a consensus politically, (it is) very difficult to do anything in an MMP. Given we only got given 6% of the vote last time, it’s been very difficult to exercise leverage. But the reason we didn't vote for the free trade deal i.e the India Free Trade Deal (is because) we regard it as an India free travel Visa, thats how we see it, anyway I’ve got to go son” - @mangonui08 ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// It seems to me that New Zealand First, or at least some of its prominent members, may be more sympathetic to @RemigrationNZ than they are publicly willing to acknowledge. Whether due to political considerations or wider social pressures, they may feel constrained from openly endorsing the movement. During my conversations, I also had the pleasure of speaking with @nzfirst candidate @BillyBrown1983 , who struck me as an excellent example of a politician willing to speak candidly about the reality of demographic replacement of New Zealanders in their own country. Speaking with him was both encouraging and refreshing, and gave me genuine hope for the next generation of New Zealand First leadership. Ultimately, if remigration is to become a serious part of New Zealand’s political discourse, the work of young patriots and members of @RemigrationNZ must continue. We must be willing to challenge prevailing assumptions, advance our arguments openly, and push the boundaries of the Overton window. Only then can we create the political conditions in which mainstream parties feel able to engage seriously with these ideas and consider what they believe to be in the long-term interests of our nation. #Remigration #remigrationnz #newzealand #patriots #nationalism
