US DOJ charges five people in a “ghost student” fraud scheme that used stolen American identities to enrol fake students in colleges and steal federal student aid.
The money was allegedly sent overseas through Kenyan-linked networks.
More than $750,000 (Sh97.5 million) in cryptocurrency has been seized, in what the DOJ calls the first international seizure of its kind in Kenya.

Kevin Bleyer, an award-winning writer who worked on “The Daily Show” and “Politically Incorrect,” died Sunday in a car accident in Millrift, Pennsylvania. He was 54.
His family said the accident occurred on a rural road where he had a country home.
