This morning, the federal government turned the full force of the Department of Homeland Security against a sitting member of Congress for the offense of disagreeing with the White House.
The path to citizenship should not be weaponized against anyone, including Rep. Ilhan Omar, a naturalized American who swore an oath to this country — the same one that I took.
The promise of citizenship should not be contingent on someone agreeing with the federal government.

The DUP labelled the people of the Garvaghy Road a “rabble” & a “lawless mob”.
Now Jim Allister says the Garvaghy Road should be “sanitised”.
Unionist leaders are in a race to the bottom, trying to outdo each other with reckless & sectarian comments about nationalist people.
But our message is clear:
The days of the Garvaghy Road community, & nationalists across the north, being treated as second-class citizens are gone.

A large scale criminal investigation for Garvaghy Road residents on a peaceful protest but not for Loyalist gangs involved in illegal bonfires year after year. This is not a good look.
Update: PSNI Chief Constable Jon Boutcher has said that a large-scale criminal investigation is underway regarding unlawful protest on the Garvaghy Road.
In the statement, he also said: “People shouting at me has absolutely no effect on my judgement, and they would do well to learn that. My overriding responsibility is to keep people safe" @beltel

Leading local journalist Amanda Ferguson has publicly stated this morning that the "Driving Force" behind this current Drumcree Dispute "warrants more scrutiny".
She is referring of course to Jamie Bryson. For the past year or more Bryson has persuaded leading Unionist Party's - and the DUP (in particular) to embark on a course of action which has led us to this point.
There has never been a full-scale (and proper) journalistic investigation into Jamie Bryson. Who funds him? What exactly are his sources of income? What exactly are his links and access to the DUP and TUV? Does he have any links to Loyalist Paramiltaries? If so, what are they?
It is long overdue that the local Press/Media took a serious look at an individual who has had a very destabilising effect on the entire political process here. He is currently threatening an end to the Stormont Assembly.
Who will step forward and investigate? That is the question...

It began in April (pre-state) and continued after May 14. Effects were limited; some illness occurred in Acre. Israel denied it at the time.
