I had a stocktake on Tuesday, the stocktaker said most places are struggling to hit 65% GP on food at the moment. This with increased energy will mean a lot of businesses don't make it through winter.

31st December New Years Eve. One of the biggest days/ nights in hospitality. Yesterday we received 7 hours notice to close. I am not questioning the decision, that’s above my pay grade for sure. I am questioning the communication.

The supply chain, the Hairdresses, the taxi drivers, the most goes on. This is the 3 rd time we have done this, so yes we have learned and we think a head to minimise the loses. We are struggling, not much left emotionally, physically and mentally. This tank is running on empty
The impact on the business owner, just the simple fact of the admin, contacting customers and returning deposits. Staff with no warning get a 20% pay decrease( furlough)Stock to waste, given away and donated. This cost alone is destroying businesses, no compensation to support us
All dressed up from the waist up 🤪#LCRTA20

While I may be the first woman in this office, I will not be the last—because every little girl watching tonight sees that this is a country of possibilities.

Rumours are Pubs and Bars will close. Restaurants stay open. This is a nightmare Being in limbo Would rather close than be open with people from the same house allowed to sit together We are loosing money as we try to trade with reduced covers and reduced footfall Feel sick

With the new rules in place please make sure you're wearing a mask until you are seated for your own wellbeing, and that of our staff and other customers.
