Hey everyone! We've been working on Leafborn for a long time, and it's finally time to show you what we've been up to! It's our first game, made by a team of 3-4 people.
The whole thing started with a simple question: what would it feel like to control a character made of thousands of leaves? And somehow, that idea turned into an actual game. It's pretty crazy to see how far we've come, I still can't believe we actually made this.
We're joining Steam Next Fest on October 19, so you'll be able to try the demo yourself! We'd love to hear what you think, and don't forget to wishlist Leafborn if you like what you see!

Valve says devs threatened with AI clones of their games should report it to Valve and the police.
At Steam Indie Connect in Korea, an indie dev asked what to do about people threatening to clone their game with AI and release it first unless they pay. Tom Giardino from Valve's Steam Business team said: "We don't want to be gatekeepers telling developers which tools they should or shouldn't use," he said, stating that whether to use AI in development is a decision for the developers themselves".
However, he pointed out that clone games existed long before AI. Spotting an interesting concept during Next Fest and quickly making a similar game or chasing trends has always happened. AI has simply accelerated that pace.

We tried your demo and we are literally blown away by the polish and how smooth the gameplay feels, the leaf VFX are astonishing and the audio design is topnotch. The game is quite well optimized and runs pretty well on my Legion Go. It's clearly a game made with passion and dedication. I honestly hope this game goes viral and reaches a broad audience 🍃
