With all the injuries lately, I need to say something. It’s about this guy LeBron James. We talk a lot about LeBron’s longevity. His availability deserves just as much appreciation. Through 23 seasons, LeBron played in nearly 88% of his teams’ regular-season games. That includes the years when he was still playing into his late 30s and early 40s. For his first FIFTEEN seasons? He played in more than 94% of the games. Just 71 missed games in 15 years. Fewer than five per season. Just think about that. And in Year 15, he played all 82. Think about the combination that requires: extraordinary talent, an enormous workload, and the ability to keep coming back and doing it again. Year after year after year. Longevity is remarkable on its own. Maintaining that level of performance while being available that consistently is something else entirely. Whatever your all-time rankings look like, this part of LeBron’s career deserves its own standing ovation. Nobody will ever come close in that regard.

I’m in love with this sentence: “Bigger dreams call for healthier habits and healthier habits require more self discipline.”

MUSIC INDUSTRY PRO TIP - You learn by putting out music that doesn't connect. You learn by doing the cringe. You learn by making mistakes. You learn by embarrassing yourself. You learn by putting yourself out there. You learn by taking massive action, failing, and implementing change.

People hit 30 and give up on life. No, your life is not over because you’re in your 30s or 40s. Life is not over because you were in a wack relationship, have kids, are in debt, , let your body go etc. Hit the reset button. Change your habits, learn a skill, do whatever it takes to turn your life around, but giving up is wack. If you want it bad enough, you can come back from pretty much anything.

I think people underestimate how much of a luxury it is to genuinely like your normal day. Not the holiday, not the birthday, not the reservation. Literally Monday.

I saw a post on Reddit that said, “When you walk through a museum, you’re not just looking at art. You’re moving through centuries of people trying to explain love, grief, power, beauty, and belonging.” I don’t think I’ve ever seen a museum described so beautifully.

why not you? you are allowed to believe that your life could become something you can barely comprehend from where you’re standing today. you are allowed to take that belief seriously enough to build your days around it, even when the evidence hasn’t caught up yet. you dont know what you could become five years from now - and that’s exactly the point.

Can we PLEASE normalize just hanging out at each other’s houses again? Why does every friendship meetup need to be a whole production, a restaurant reservation, and a $150 bill? I just want to sit on your couch, drink something, and talk for hours.
