🚨 The Sixteen Thirty Fund, which counts a foreign national as a top donor, just reported funneling almost $1.2M into a Michigan ballot measure. Michigan law still lacks a ban on direct or indirect foreign money in ballot measure campaigns, leaving the state vulnerable.

News: Republicans are expanding their FEC complaint in Alaska's Senate race about spoiler Dan Sullivan to include Peltola, her allies and DSCC after the NYT story “It is now clear that Respondent Sullivan’s sham candidacy was the product of a months-long ‘ballot composition Project’ run by agents of Ms. Peltola and her campaign committee, Alaskans for Mary (together, the ‘Peltola Campaign’), and financed by multiple super PACs," reads new complaint from National Republican Senatorial Committee semafor.com/article/10/30/20…

George Soros' Open Society Policy Center just gave $750K to Michiganders for Money Out of Politics. This push to “get money out of politics” somehow funded by one of the country's biggest political spenders!

As more states pass laws restricting foreign money in ballot measures, Sixteen Thirty Fund has had to stop spending in places like Ohio, Nebraska, and Missouri. Michigan needs to close this loophole too.

Today’s New York Times reporting reveals disturbing new evidence of an organized effort to manipulate Alaska’s elections by recruiting candidates—including one with the same name as an incumbent U.S. Senator—to deliberately confuse voters and misdirect their votes. The Alaska Division of Elections investigated these very concerns in June of this year. The new reporting substantially supports the Division’s findings. I am therefore directing the Department of Public Safety to investigate whether this scheme violated Alaska’s laws and whether criminal charges or civil action are warranted. The evidence will determine what happens next. Alaskans have a fundamental right to vote for the candidate they actually intend to support. Deliberately tricking voters into casting their ballots for someone else strikes at the integrity of our elections. Anyone or any organization found to have broken the law must be held accountable.

⁨Last month, APT filed an FEC complaint against “Decoy Dan” Sullivan, alleging his campaign coordinated with a liberal dark money group, 907 Initiative, which spent hundreds of thousands attacking incumbent Sen. @DanSullivan_AK. A board member of 907 Initiative even helped Decoy Dan file to run. Now, it’s being revealed that operatives tied to Mary Peltola's campaign went even further, working behind the scenes to recruit someone sharing the incumbent senator’s name, potentially confusing voters. “In the summer of 2025, a staffer for Mary Peltola, the Alaska Democrat who was eyeing a run for Senate, received unusual instructions from top campaign aides: Find as many people named Dan Sullivan in Alaska as you can,” @nytimes reports. Foreign money in American politics remains a serious concern as the 2026 midterms approach. In a new @Philanthropy report, APT's @CaitlinAPT points to an estimated $5 BILLION in foreign cash flowing into U.S. nonprofits and raises questions about its potential political use.

Over the past two decades, billions in foreign funding have flowed into the U.S. nonprofit sector to support advocacy, lobbying, and electoral activities. Nonprofits have a responsibility to uphold their charitable missions, @CaitlinAPT notes, underscoring the need to address foreign money in American politics without infringing on free speech. philanthropy.com/news/money-…

'DARK MONEY': A mysterious group calling itself the American Forge Coalition is blanketing battleground House districts with mailers attacking vulnerable Republicans — and a Fox News Digital investigation found it's not even registered with the Federal Election Commission. The group, registered as a 501(c)(4) in Delaware at an address shared by 285,000 other businesses, is accusing GOP incumbents of supporting "mass amnesty" and "abortions up until birth" — claims that take liberties with the truth. Targets include Reps. Mike Lawler, Brian Fitzpatrick, Jen Kiggans, Derrick Van Orden, and Marianette Miller-Meeks, all in competitive races. Campaign officials and watchdog groups say the operation is designed to suppress Republican turnout one week before the midterm election, with one watchdog warning the public "really doesn't have enough to go on" to identify who's bankrolling the effort.
