This is hilarious
Canada had a securities filing system that worked.
Regulators spent years replacing it with SEDAR+, which somehow made finding public company information harder.
Now there's NOTSEDAR, a faster and less painful way to access filings. Log in with Google.

Apparently the solution to government modernization is to modernize it again. Privately.
H/t @veritasvatillum for the tip.

Toronto's media department are having a bad day.
New 30 km/h area speed limit signs will be posted at neighbourhood entry and exit points. Once you enter a signed area, the 30 km/h speed limit applies throughout the local road network until you leave that area.
Slower speeds help reduce the risk of serious collisions and make neighbourhood streets safer.

What’s actually going on in Ukraine is that there is a massive incentive difference between the elites and the people.
The former have grown very rich off the hundreds of billions flowing to Ukraine, while the latter’s children are conscripted to die in trenches.

JD Vance: I find it a little ironic that European countries -- who have nothing like the technology Elon Musk has developed in Starlink and have universally waged regulatory war against SpaceX -- are all now running to SpaceX saying, 'Please do what we need you to do.'
Alright… here is the window for m&a in precious metals land. You said you needed a better price environment. Let’s see some bids.

Man Previously Charged in Mississauga Carjackings Now Charged in Downtown Shooting While On Bail
Two Toronto residents have been charged after a man was shot in the abdomen at a downtown Toronto residence early Tuesday morning.
Toronto Police said officers responded to a shooting in the area of Bleecker Street and Wellesley Street East at approximately 1 a.m. on October 20, 2026.
Investigators allege the two accused attended the victim’s residence and knocked on the door before producing a firearm and opening fire, striking the victim in the abdomen.
The suspects allegedly fled the scene but were pursued by responding officers and subsequently arrested. Police also recovered two loaded firearms.
Jah Thomas Williams, 22, of Toronto, is charged with:
-Discharge Firearm with Intent
-Aggravated Assault
-Possess Loaded Regulated Firearm
-Possess Prohibited/Restricted Weapon or Prohibited device knowing No Authority
-Possess Firearm, etc. While Prohibited
Lashano Mackey, 20, of Toronto, is charged with:
-Discharge Firearm with Intent
-Aggravated Assault
-Possess Loaded Regulated Firearm
-Possess Prohibited/Restricted Weapon or Prohibited device knowing No Authority
-Two counts of Possess Firearm, etc. While Prohibited
-Two counts of Fail to Comply with Release Order
-Breach of Probation
Mackey was previously arrested in connection with a pair of alleged robberies in Mississauga in July 2024.
According to Peel Regional Police, on July 3, 2024, Mackey was among three suspects allegedly involved in a carjacking in a parking lot near Heartland Town Centre. A woman was loading her vehicle with her child when two masked suspects approached in a stolen black Acura sedan and demanded her keys. The suspects allegedly fled in the woman’s vehicle, while a third suspect left in the Acura. The woman and her child were unharmed.
The following evening, police alleged that two suspects approached another woman in a gym parking lot on Pepper Mill Court. When the woman attempted to flee, she was knocked to the ground and had her purse stolen. The suspects were unable to obtain her car keys and fled in the stolen Acura. The victim was not injured.
Police said both victims had been targeted for their BMW X7 SUVs because of their high value.
Mackey, then 18, was charged with robbery, disguise with intent and possession of property obtained by crime in connection with the 2024 investigation.

This arrest is another example of the outstanding proactive work being done by our community intervention response teams (CIRT).
Our CIRT officers are proactively in neighbourhoods across Peel Region, engaging with communities and taking action to enhance public safety.
In this case, an individual chose to break the law, attempted to flee, but we caught the suspect and seized a gun. This is how we do it.
And let this be clear: There are no excuses and no exceptions. We will remove illegal guns from our streets every chance we get and hold offenders fully accountable.

I found the name of the Brooklyn leftist who threatened to stab me to death. His name is Travis Atkins and he works for EliseAI.
I found Travis's details because his TikTok account only had one follower on it and it was his Chinese boyfriend who had a public Instagram account with lots of photos of Travis.
Bad luck Travis. You fucked your life up for nothing.

On October 7, Melbourne let a crowd honour “Palestinian martyrs” outside the State Library.
Organizers billed it as a “Vigil for Gaza.” It held the lawn from 10am and grew to hundreds.
A speaker said Anzac soldiers had “participated in the act of genocide.”
Our reporter Avi Yemini was covering it when the crowd tried to get at our crew.
Then a Victoria Police officer grabbed Avi by the neck.
The crowd honouring “martyrs” kept the lawn all day.
The Jewish reporter got a hand on his neck.
