Built on Private AI models, Arche Vision observes real-world experimental processes, maintains real-time context, and can both document what it sees and assist along the way.
Users on Arche can launch live camera experiments through a created Lab, utilizing up to 4 concurrent camera feeds while providing simple context to the system about their objectives. Batch runs allow multiple experiments to be conducted within one shared context window, enabling cross-batch
comparisons to identify procedural variation and assist with reproducibility.
Importantly, camera footage is processed exclusively through Private AI models, where data is not stored by third-party AI labs. Users can also optionally keep all footage and experimental data "private-local," stored directly in their browser rather than on our servers.
Arche is live now! We'd love for you to try it out.

Super excited to share what we’ve been building.
@archescience brings together so much of what we care about at Heterodox - open science, better tools for researchers, and making more of the scientific process visible and useful.
Announcing @archescience , an Open Substrate for Science.
We've been working hard on building Archē over the past few months. The goal is to create a simple, useful native tool for radical, open, decentralized science, integrating private AI models (exclusively through @AskVenice ) for literature lookup, live experimental tracking and assistance, and discovering other researchers and labs.
You can create your own profile, choose what to keep public or private, explore labs and research projects, send collaboration requests, and discuss research ideas with others.
Whether you're an active researcher or simply interested in exploring the scientific ecosystem, we'd love for you to give Archē a try and share any feedback you might have.
Through the Heterodox Research Society, we'll also soon be launching our flagship research programs and using Archē to organize, document, and share our work.

Replying to @zach_lubick
@zach_lubick and i have been scrapping this together for the past few months after a year+ of building out all sorts of various tools and trinkets for our research, and the broader ecosystem. @archescience is the culmination of all the feedback thus far, in one cohesive product.

THE ARCHĒ (AR-KAY)
The fundamental substrate of the universe, over which the minds of the great Pre-Socratic philosophers wandered in pursuit of the nature of reality.
Born of the conviction that nature possessed some underlying principle or constituent element permeating all things, Thales posited it was water, Pythagoras found it in numbers, and Anaximander conceived of the apeiron, the boundless and indefinite from which all things emerge.
This early philosophical worldview held that beneath the multiplicity of the natural world there might exist some fundamental unity, a substrate from which all things arise, perhaps lurking just beyond our line of sight, or perhaps right before our eyes.
WHAT IS THE ARCHĒ OF OUR WORLD?
