Last month, I reduced frame drops in the 𝕏 Android app by ~60% – mostly benefiting non-flagship devices. There’s still room for improvement, though. Have you noticed the difference?
The app should be smoother now, especially when you are scrolling through timelines.
I optimised some animations, and also reduced or disabled visual effects like blurring on devices with low-end GPUs. Also, more effects now honour the system Power (Battery) Save mode and the app's Reduce Motion setting, which you can enable in Settings -> Accessibility.
It's nice to see that Uncle Bob Martin is using @bot!
I composed this skill and have had pretty good luck with it. My grokbots use it when writing code.

Another day, another Kotlin Coroutines trap I’ve fallen into. Been using coroutines for years, still happens. And turned out I'm not the only one: stackoverflow.com/questions/…
I know that cancellation is cooperative. But for some reason I assumed that the cooperation is somehow already implemented inside `withContext`.
The rewrite of the 𝕏 Android app was beneficial not only from a technical perspective.

Rewriting the 𝕏 Android app was also a big deal. It was really bad for such a long time.

You found it. 🍌
The banana at the Next Gen Roadster reveal wasn't an accident. It was an analog stopwatch.
A laser triggered the drop the instant the tires started to roll. We hung it at exactly the car's 0-60 time at the time of 1 second.
Banana hits the ground. Car hits the laser wall. Same frame.
Here's how we did it 🧵

Oh, and we also need the front radar lights.

Food at @nextappdevcon was crazy expensive: €14+ for a currywurst and no alternatives near the venue – 🤯
𝕏 is indeed a global town square!
Code colouring is a big disadvantage IMO, especially in code reviews. Is the findById function async or blocking? Also, the article shows Rx snippets in Java, why not Kotlin for both?
I miss those old Rx days 🥲
Just created a separate GitHub account for Grok Bot and added it as a collaborator to Decompose repository. Let's see how it goes!
