No filter. Just a stunning display of the #NorthernLights
Kirsty and Audrey from The Flow Country Partnership were out on the farm today. Both have played a massive part in our peatland restoration work with the charity. Thankfully they are both dog lovers. 🐾🐾
The calm before #StormBoelo came through. The train trip home never disappoints. #TheFlowCountry
Willie kindly made the trip north to back fat scan, weigh and collect data on our ewe lambs. Looking forward to this performance information coming through and shaping future flock decisions.
Wood sorrel is recognised as an ancient woodland indicator species. It’s presence can signal a site with a long, continuous history of woodland cover. You can spot it at the bottom of this hazel sampling. It’s really zingy to eat as well. 💚👌🏻

One of the reasons why we farm with (rather than against) nature, and why I know livestock kept outside all year (yes even sheep, yes even out on the moor, yes even in winter) is vital for wider ecosystem recovery…
#Dungbeetles are just so cool!

Jess, Ace and Lulu laying on the charm to
Ellen, Mario and Oliver. A couple of days filming around peatlands and land use with The National Museum of Scotland team.
Ian’s been off on a trip south with our 5 year old, fully warranted cast ewes to the @innovis_breeding_sheep team. Their continued support is very much appreciated. Home via @unitedauctions Oban calf sale. Myself and the #quadsquad did a bit of filming with Ellen, Mario & Oliver
That’s Armadale 677 already for his trip to @Dingwall_Mart next week. 😎
The lads in for a check on their @Nofence_AS collars. Up beat bunch. Back out onto an area which the Curlews and Snipe use, to take off some rough grazing before winter. #hairycoos 🫡😎🐂

A year since this area of peatland was restored. Loving how it’s revegetated. We’ve had lots of rain this year, unlike so many areas of the country, which has helped with regrowth and rewetting. Thanks to our funders and supporters. @PeatlandACTION @TheFlowCountry @NatureScot
