Quick blog post about the unimportance of three drops, extended from a Limited Level-Ups Discord comment a few weeks ago.
armlx.blogspot.com/2026/11/t…
While everyone is sitting in the Jace waiting room, I wrote a bit of defense and criticism of the prior draftable sets from 2026. If the concept of a good bad year for Limited exists, this is it.
armlx.blogspot.com/2026/09/2…
Wrote something new for the first time in forever about the best thing that 2026 design has done for Limited. Will have more about what lessons can be learned about the first sets of the year soon, but the highlight deserves a chance to shine first.

Update: too late to stop Nathan from going 5-0-2 again and Top 8ing, not too late to check out the Round 7 win-and-ins or the charity raffle
Best player, best deck, clean undefeated win...
Can he repeat against the Invitational field today? Player meeting starting, going live with Jarvis, Coval, and Jameson shortly.
@Nathansteuer1 pulled out the swift 2-0 to take home The Classic trophy! Game 1 he pulled off Reanimate last second on Atraxa and rode her to victory. Game 2? Played carefully around a Surgical Extraction to reanimate a Barrowgoyf...and rode it to victory. Congrats!
And if you want in on some of the charity raffle items, link is below. Drawing is 5:30 tomorrow, I have my eye on the Weave Fate sketch.
(Shipping for those not here, but NA only)

Hoping to commentate on some Eumidian Hatcheries and Cloudposts in Baltimore tomorrow, but expecting Tamiyos and Nadus.
Either way will be a good time in the booth with @jkyu06.

It is with great pride that the DMV Legacy League announces its full list of invites and awarded byes for the 2025 Invitational. This is the absolute best the DMV has to offer. We'll see you all at Invitational Weekend!
Please join us in congratulating them! 🎉

Hey Legacy gamers,
Here at the DMV Legacy League, we know times are tough with the government shutdown, especially given our location.
In the spirit of togetherness & community, we have decided to offer sign ups to The Classic under the honor system for those affected.

Tomorrow is the first event of our James Beeton Memorial Weekend!
It will be a chaos draft with packs going all the way back to Alliances.
Tacos, door prizes, raffle. All proceeds go to charity.
Recording a year-end wrap episode of @dominaria_pod tomorrow, including a little Q&A&A, so ping away!
The last is "A" is accepting accolades for good takes you want to remind us of. Or accountability for bad ones, your choice.

This week: Ari almost wins Eternal Weekend again, Dom vexes opponents and onlookers alike with Yorion, and a certain Bauble vexes the entire format; plus, who will protect the vendors from rapacious gamers trying to buy sleeves from them?!

Still got it, and by it I mean the ability to find myself in the middle of yakety sax judge calls. Started event with a T1 judge call that resolved itself in Round 2, ended by noticing a deck reg error in the winning list... after it went through multiple deck checks by judges
