Spent a few hours this weekend exploring Lazy Objects introduced in PHP 8.4. I was initially focused on the idea that this feature is niche, but I wanted to break that notion - it’s a great excuse to avoid learning something that might seem complicated. Big thanks to @Korbeil_ for the article on Lazy Objects that inspired me, and to @arnaud_lb & @nicolasgrekas for implementing Lazy Objects in PHP. Thanks for your contribution – it's valuable! Link to the article in the comment.

Remember the multi-line short-closures RFC I've worked in the past with @Crell? @arnaud_lb picked up the flag, and made the hard work of finalizing it. The RFC is now open for votes! Let's cross our fingers and hope it passes. ✅ 🗳 wiki.php.net/rfc/auto-captur….

2) One morning I've got an idea that would make many features of the extension available even WITHOUT objectManagerLoader (a script that returns configured EM from your app). This was also initially released in phpstan-doctrine 1.2.0 and then hotfixed over half-dozen patches 😅

The phpstan-doctrine extension for @doctrineproject has recently been updated with two features that are a big deal: 1) @arnaud_lb (the genius behind generics in PHPStan) contributed type inference for DQL and QueryBuilders. It works no matter how complex the query is!
