How to explain the silence of prominent Australians during @KingAbdullahII’s Canberra visit? Why was my murdered Melbourne-born daughter not mentioned? Why no questions to the royals about the Jordanian who murdered her and who’s kept illicitly safe from American prosecutors in Jordan? Which rule of etiquette calls for the harboring of a fugitive terrorist to go delicately unaddressed when a king comes calling?
What was unjustifiably missing from their agenda was any mention of two people. An Australian girl of 15, a talented musician who brought light into every room she entered. And a Jordanian woman of 21 who, for good reason, calls the @Sbarro pizzeria massacre “my operation”.

Ahlam Tamimi, convicted for her role in the 2001 Sbarro bombing in Jerusalem, has been served with US civil lawsuit papers through X, according to National Jewish Advocacy Center director Mark Goldfeder.
Danielle Greyman-Kennard reports in The Jerusalem Post that a Washington federal court authorized social-media service alongside other notification steps after efforts to locate Tamimi’s address in Jordan failed.
The case is brought on behalf of the estate of 15-year-old victim Malki Roth. This is a procedural step in the civil case; no damages judgment is reported.

In the years since the massacre in which Malki’s life ended, no one has claimed Jordanian jihadist #AhlamTamimi didn’t do it. Tamimi herself calls the atrocity “my operation”. It made her a celebrity. Not being with us in the fight to get her to US justice means being with her.
