Working with Europeans really made me see the value and importance of every life, no matter how small, young or old
When their 90 yrs old grandparent dies, if you see the way they will mourn
Or let their dog die, everybody is sad for like 2 weeks
Naija value for life mehn <<<<

Love the feel of this
Every home should have some ground rules
We are quarreling, but we’re sleeping on the same bed
We are quarreling, but no one is refusing to eat. You must chop
We’re quarreling, but we must take each other’s call, pray together
The disagreement won’t last
Charge your worth
Bride oo
Parlour wedding ooo
Adeleke oo

I’m not a bride, why are you charging me that much?
And it didn’t make sense to me cos whether you’re a bride or not, I am doing my job. I don’t do anything extra because you are a bride and of course, I lost some clients cos of that.

My goodness
This happened with my husband and I one time too.
I wasn’t talking to him, but he got back from work and served food that I cooked
He didn’t even know I made another pot of diced chicken, I still collected his plate, served him. While still fighting with him😹😹
Some people’s marriage are 100% perfect
But ours? We are completely different people from different background and tribe and culture intentionally building ourselves up with love and respect.
We might not be perfect, Yet !
But trust me, we are better than we were yesterday
One time my wife and I had a disagreement and she wasn’t speaking to me that day.
Later after we reconciled, she was now asking me why I ate the food she cooked. I ate the whole pot self.
How disagreement concern food wey my wife cook ?
Abeg abeg ooo
Two unrelated discussions

One minute you're making poster for your friend's short film and the next minute, you're leading the key art and marketing campaign team for the highest grossing filmmaker in Africa.
This life crazy gan.
When I was staying at Ipaja that was when I learnt there’s a huge difference between leaving your house by 6:30 and 6:35
That 5 mins difference is very crucial and critical.
Spent practically the whole night thinking about Monday traffic and how angry I would be if it caught up with me.
I jumped out of the house at 5:40am, with the fear of traffic firmly sitting at the back of my mind, and got to VI before 6:30am.
Guess what, guys? My resumption time is 9am. Meaning I could have enjoyed additional hours of sleep, but I dared not take that risk.
That’s how bad Lagos commuting has become. You now plan your entire life around traffic, sacrifice sleep just to beat congestion, and still cannot confidently predict what you’ll get in every instance.
The timing of movement in this city is a full-time strategy on its own and you have to negotiate with it at all times. 🤧😴
Someone will be singing Yoruba song on TikTok and people in the comments will be calling the person “Yinka Alasete” or “Yinka Alasedanu”
😭😭😭😭
