The Tesla Waymo comparison reminds me of Blackberry/IPhone back in the day. By the time the IPhone was released in 2007/2008 almost 50 million Blackberry's were in the market. Very similar to Waymo supporters who tout how many unsupervised miles Waymo does daily. Many assumed Blackberry would continue to do well. Unfortunately, Blackberry supporters failed to understand the advantages Apple's had. The Cybercab is similar. The demise of Blackberry was not a surprise. Waymo may do well but only if they can provide autonomy services at a profit or at least a small loss. That will be hard. Perhaps Google will continue to subsidize Waymo. Perhaps not. Only time will tell if Google can get to better margins. I'm hoping Waymo survives since competition is always a good thing. Tesla besides having a better product now, has significant cost advantages that no other autonomous company has. To think Tesla's Robotaxi service will not grow dramatically is out of touch with what is happening. Tesla just has to avoid a highly public, very tragic accident in the next year or two. If they can do that a S curve ramp is inevitable.

@johnbrant421 Do you actually believe Tesla is remotely driving the Robotaxi's? As in a person in a central support center is handling 100% of driving of each Robotaxi?

Version 2025.20.3 which just came out now displays a wider rear camera view when backing up. What's interesting is the rear camera view that you can see from the Service Window display has a significantly wider view. (see below from my Model Y) Although it's a fish bowl view I'd still much rather have this view then what Tesla shows after the upgrade. Note: this extra wide view is only for Ai4 hardware. The view for Ai3 cars is noticeably narrower from the Service Window display. This extra wide Ai4 hardware view may partially explain why FSD for Ai3 cars doesn't support backing out of a parking space. FSD simply cannot see crossing traffic and pedestrians as well.

Nice to see Model Y deliveries times in my area (Boston) now have waiting times of 2-4 or 3-5 weeks depending on the variant. (black interior). Many people are still waiting for the performance and 3 row models so we still don't have a good idea of what the real demand is until they are both available. Of course it is also possible Tesla has reduced the number of cars built pushing the delivery time lines out artificially. Why some analysts jump to conclusions without knowing all the facts is unfortunate. Time will tell either way.

Has anyone seen a report of the Red Wheel error on v13.2.9? Reason I ask is I was driving in heavy with v13.2.9 when a truck sent a major splash of water to my windshield. For a second I could not see anything and was expecting the Red Wheel but FSD handled the situation well. I also haven't had any problems with sun glare. I wonder if Tesla has improved both of the problems since both could be a Robotaxi risk?

For people that own stock in any company normally you would be happy with a 61% return for the past year. Believe it or not that is what Tesla's stock did. You need to put into perspective the long term value of Tesla and be willing to ride the roller coaster ride. I started my investments in Tesla in April 2012. No complaints here. Just buy on the dips.

I've had 3 camera visibility warning messages using FSD in the last 2 weeks. . All 3 times when I checked the error in the service menu the problem was not a dirty camera but sun glare. What are others seeing?

For those interested in unsupervised FSD. Here is Grok's take on whether L3 or L4/L5 happens first. Seems obvious but many don't believe Tesla will release a L3 version. To me L3 is what regulators (state or national) will more likely approve as the initial phase of self driving cars. Plus L3 is likely what the public will want so that edge cases don't mess with traffic and cause problems like Waymo has.

Here is an example of v13.2.2 failing to recognize two oncoming ambulances with flashing lights. When I approached the first car I decided to let FSD continue hoping FSD would pull over but instead FSD moved around the car. Then when FSD approached several cars that had pulled over you can see FSD never moved over like it should have.
