I will leave Kenya in the not-so-distant future having made many good friends we worked with on 🇦🇿 - 🇰🇪 partnerships. Glad to see Science, Research & Innovation PS @Profshaukat. Also in attendance was Baku State University and 'IRS' magazine's Mr. Musa Marjanli.
Yes! And streets like this are the proof... long evenings, tables spilling onto the cobblestones, not an hour wasted. This is what cities should be for, imo.

It took about 6 weeks but we were able to fix her leg and back so she could have a normal life.
She was always very shy but Rod Stewart showed her life can be ok.
Then Skye got her forever home… (3/6)

Agreed, imo. Though as I keep saying, it's an insult to human intelligence to call it artificial... But if these mechanical robots must exist, better understanding than division!
The Maldives has urged global partners to ensure artificial intelligence fosters human understanding rather than division. Speaking in Baku, Minister Heena Waleed stressed fair linguistic representation and critical digital literacy for youth.

The 7th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue wraps up in Baku today. Different cultures, shared values - I fell for that city from day one, and the skyline where Maiden Tower and the Flame Towers share one silhouette says it better than any declaration could. 😊

They had a name for her at the shelter, but nobody ever called her by it. Her card said Daisy, but all she did was sit with her head against the wall.
She’d been there 11 days. Ppl walked past her, but she never looked up. Her food stayed untouched, and the bed with its blanket remained empty. All she wanted was that quiet corner where the cold walls made the world feel a little less scary.
Then, on the 12th morning, a man stopped by. Unlike everyone else, he didn’t call her or try to touch her. He simply sat outside her gate, his back against the bars, just like Daisy sat facing the wall.
“My wife used to do that,” he whispered. “Leaning against the fridge when the house felt too big.”
Daisy’s ear moved, but she didn’t turn around.
He returned the next day, and the day after that. He never forced her to come closer. He just talked about little things—his leaking sink, a neighbor’s radio, and the beautiful October light. Sometimes, he simply sat in silence.
On his 5th visit, he brought a bowl of warm water and placed his hand on the floor, palm facing up. No pressure, no demands, just patience.
Daisy stared at his hand for a long time. Then, slowly, she stood up and took a few careful steps toward him.
She didn’t eat. Instead, she gently rested her chin on his wrist and stayed there, breathing softly.
The man didn’t move. The food could wait. The bed could wait.
For the first time since she arrived at the shelter, Daisy’s world wasn’t just a cold wall anymore. There was warmth on the other side, and someone who was willing to wait for her. ❤️🐶
