PhD Success Tip: Envy isn’t helpful in our line of work.
Instead Consider: Others’ success as a sign of what’s possible. Makes it easier to experience the joy of seeing people soar.

So this is what I was tweeting about a few weeks ago that I couldn’t remember the name of! @RsrchRabbit is something you should check out. I’m a big user of @zotero so interested to see how this integration works. #AcademicTwitter
This is a beautiful visualization of your Zotero folder @moyno_d! Thank you for sharing! 🤩
Forced myself to get out and enjoy the fall colors in NW Minnesota at Itasca State Park. #fallcolors #MentalHealthMatters
This past week I’ve been more stressed than I’ve been in at least a year. Making it hard to relax at all. Trying to stay positive and hope my time will come. So much to do and think through all while holding myself to a high standard of teaching and service. #AcademicTwitter

This is nuts.
The amount of tweets I’ve bookmarked on #HurricaneIan is a bit much… but you never know when you may need teaching material!

Remarkable view of Hurricane Ian's evolution today in the Gulf of Mexico.
I can't get over the quality of this satellite imagery.

Broader view of a similar time period.
Idk why we're getting 30-second imagery but I am here for it.
UND folks give @und_wx a follow! It’s amazing what these students are doing! So fun to watch them grow and master what they do.

Okay, wow.
Five hours worth of 30-second imagery of Hurricane Ian.
A seriously remarkable and captivating view of a tropical cyclone.
The idea of not knowing what comes next in my professional life is honestly terrifying. All while still trying to finish the PhD and teach. I’ve bet everything on what’s comes next but not knowing the result is a little crippling at times. #AcademicTwitter #AcademicChatter
Yes I get that can be exciting and I am ready for a change. I just want to end up some where that I’m happy and can do the work I love. While hopefully being able to afford the cost of living.
