Cowboys QB Dak Prescott on the team’s current mindset: “I would say determined, and I hope urgent. We can only say, ‘We’ve got a lot of games in front of us’ for so long. Might be already past us, right?
“We’ve gotta go win. You want to give yourself a chance to be a winning team, to be a playoff team, you got to win as many games as you can. And when you drop two games, and particularly games that we didn’t expect to drop, it makes it that much harder. So, urgent. Urgent to get it done now.”

Cowboys HC Brian Schottenheimer defends George Pickens' route-running style on @1053SS, @rjchoppy, and @BobbyBeltTX, but adds that the WR needs improvement coming off the line:
"He's one of my favorite players of all time with the way he plays the game... I think the big thing we're on GP about is being as consistent in the run and the pass when coming off the line of scrimmage.
The one thing about George is, when he runs certain routes, they don't necessarily look like the way they're drawn in the playbook. His style is unique..."

let’s guess try to guess what game he will not miss 🤔

#AZCardinals RB Jeremiyah Love (ankle) trying to get right after a high-ankle sprain, will miss another game this week. He's been ruled out by coach Mike LaFleur.

#Cowboys HC Brian Schottenheimer is usually quick to defend WR George Pickens when criticized for inconsistent effort. That didn’t seem to be the approach today.
“GP is one of those guys where I don't ever see him really affected in terms of you know the emotion. Does he get the ball? Does he not get the ball? If these guys play a lot of snaps, I think part of it is us rotating those guys through. But he needs to understand that he impacts us in the running game as well. You know, he's got to do the same thing in the run game — picking up safeties and blocking corners — just like Javonte does, picking up blitzes so he can catch balls. That's part of the team-first mindset, and GP does understand that. And you know when he's going, they're going to play soft inside. When he's not going, the safety gets pretty good runs at our backs, and that's going to improve.”
Wonder how possible it was for Pickens to block in the run game last week with Brian’s offense passing the ball 39 times in their final 40 plays.

scorpio, taurus, leo & aquarius placements should consider wearing dark red & burgundy more often now that it’s scorpio season. dark red can be used to manifest more authority, strengthen your will-power, and leadership. it can also be used to activate your root chakra, which can provide to with stability, groundedness, impulse control, and emotional strength. ♥️✨

I think Schottenheimer made a deliberate choice to publicize Pickens for his lack of consistent effort. He’s deflected that subject previously. It seems reasonable that he basically asked Pickens to do for Javonte Williams what the running back does for him and others with his team-first mentality.
I assume the coaches have made this point to Pickens privately and that it has not led to the necessary correction. Also possible that his performance in that regard is worsening.
Winning players play hard most, if not all, of the time.
My two cents: Genuinely surprised by the reaction for Brian Schottenheimer’s quote about George Pickens, to be honest. It’s pretty obvious that Pickens is not going 110% on every single run and pass play. That was also the case last year when he was one of the best receivers in the NFL.
I think there’s a difference between taking a shot, and answering a question.
(And PS: it’s on Schottenheimer and the offense to manufacture more opportunities for Pickens, too)

2026 was the year you learned that moderation isn't just a virtue. It's your anchor. Life kept throwing hurdles at you, and you finally realized that the tests are never going to completely stop. Life simply won't leave you in a state of static comfort, no matter how desperately you crave that stability. But once you deeply accepted that disruption is an inevitable part of the journey, you stopped letting every unexpected bump turn into a personal catastrophe.
You started looking at every new obstacle with grounded thinking, "Alright, here's another one." What you discovered in the process is that true growth didn't come from the periods where everything was running smoothly.
It was precisely those intense, uncomfortable disruptions that forced you to dig deep, mature, and evolve into a far more conscious and resilient version of yourself.
There is truth to the idea that whenever your ego mourns a loss, your inner spirit celebrates what you've gained. This year forced you to confront loss: whether it was the ending of a long-term relationship, a sudden shift in financial security, or the fading of an old lifestyle you held dear. As a Taurus, you hold on tight, so when those attachments were stripped away, it felt like an empty void opened up inside you. It hurt immensely on a personal level. Yet, inside that empty space, something remarkable happened: you discovered an unshakeable inner peace that didn't depend on external circumstances. You realized you could experience devastating shifts and still find a deep, surprising sense of liberation and strength within yourself.
Moving forward, when the next challenge arrives, and you know it will, you are ready to meet it without falling apart. The secret you unlocked this year was learning to pause and accept the reality of the present moment before reacting.
When chaos lands on your doorstep, your first instinct needs to be observation, and not panic. Giving a situation your full, unhurried attention for just a minute or two changes everything. It stops you from making impulsive mistakes and gives you the space to process what is actually happening instead of what you fear is happening.
That pause is everything for you. If you jump straight into overthinking, you default to old habits, outdated defenses, and automatic reactions that no longer serve you. You end up trying to solve new problems with old conditioning. But when you face a challenge head-on, stripping away the internal resentment and the feeling that life is being unfair to you, you gain total clarity. You finally understood that life isn't targeting you; it's just testing your resolve, and meeting those tests without bitterness is where your real power lies.
It's about adopting a calm, composed mindset that says, "Okay, let's handle this," rather than spiraling into frustration. True emergencies will always require split-second instincts, where your mind steps aside and sheer instinct takes over. You've seen how some people freeze under pressure while others react heroically without even thinking. But most of what you faced this year wasn't a life-or-death crisis; it was just life asking you to stay present and anchored without manufacturing unnecessary drama.
When people get trapped in their own heads during a crisis, panic sets in and they freeze. You've learned that you don't need extreme, high-stakes thrills or risky behavior to force yourself into focus and presence. You don't need life to push you to the brink just to feel grounded. You can choose to be grounded right where you are, in the mundane, day-to-day moments, without needing a crisis to wake you up.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones didn't give a direct answer when asked on @1053thefan about Troy Aikman one day being part of Dallas' front office. Jones: "Well, that's a loaded question. (There's) nobody more qualified than Troy Aikman. ... I'm a big Troy Aikman believer in terms of his ability to get the job done. I don't know anybody who knows more (about) football."
