If youβre wondering why taxes, duties and levies at the port in Ghana are so high, we just took a real Customs Import Declaration Form for an imported 2023 Toyota Land Cruiser and did the computation by hand.
See our computation (by hand) on the left and compare with the actuals on the right (to see how the taxes are computed at the port)
In summary, weβre paying tax on tax (several times).
For example, Import VAT = 15% x (A+B+C+D+E)
Dear Government, humble appeal. Letβs simplify the computation of taxes, duties and levies at the port. The cascading effect of import taxes is killing the ordinary Ghanaian.
Come out guyssss

If the whole nation is speaking up on the serious economic woes we are suffering as a country, then it has become imperative for tertiary students to join in this agenda!

Please if you can just go to bed, pray, ask the holy ghost to minister to you.
All the emotions of hurt and anger would weaken your ability to be restrained by the Spirit.
And this may lead you to sin. We cant sin. Please call it a night. Tomorrow, we pick up our shield again.
