For those interested in the reason for the crash of Learjet Aircraft: Learjet 60, N722BD, manufactured 2004, privately owned; Austin–Bergstrom to North Eleuthera, Bahamas; 2 crew, 7 passengers, all 9 killed, one person injured on the ground. Crew •Jeffrey Gregory, 55, captain — identified by his former employer, East Coast Jets. •Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras, 20, co-pilot, identified by her stepfather; she earned her pilot's licence in 2023 at 17 while a senior at West Boca Raton Community High School. The NTSB says it's unclear who was at the controls at the time of the crash. Passengers •Adam Robinson, 45, and his wife Helen Sharp, 40 — Robinson was a technology entrepreneur — with their children Emma, 4, and Charlie, 2. •Rachael Reed, Charmi Fehr and Anita Maria Cetina — two family friends and the children's nanny. This aircraft flew into or near a thunderstorm where atmospherics conditions led to rapid icing through super cooled water droplets. This led to loss of control and overspeed ripping the tail off. No chance of survival once that happened. NTSB unlikely to find any useful information from crash site. Tragic and my sincere condolences. This is not an official report just my thoughts.
