“She has lied and people have died.”
Moments ago at Queen’s Park: NDP MPP Robin Lennox is kicked out of the chambers for calling Health Minister Sylvia Jones a liar, following revelations that Ontario refused to fund Sabrina Apitz-Grossman’s cancer treatment despite its own health agency’s recommendation.
It is so dangerous not to have access to @Ornge medi-vac services to these communities:

@MarkJCarney @fordnation to place these communities at such extreme risk is unacceptable.
Where is the urgency to fix it?

We brought in the Ontario Paranormal Society to the halls of the legislature to seek out the spirits.

"SooToday reported that the MPP was in a romantic relationship with a member of his staff before his arrest. The revelation raised ethical questions about whether it’s appropriate for a politician to pursue a relationship with an employee whose salary is funded by taxpayers.” 🤢

I remember GO training in from Hamilton at 2 weeks post-partum because there was an important vote happening that I couldn’t miss.
Let’s be clear: it’s possible to have a new baby, be a committed MPP, and not misuse taxpayer dollars because you wanted a snooze in a fancy hotel
Now the parliamentary assistant to Paul Calandra, Cho told reporters that he expensed thousands in hotels because his wife preferred a quiet home while sleep-training a baby torontolife.com/city/stan-ch…

If a senior can go to hospital for a hip replacement and go home in two days, then my bet is Stan Cho could have gone home in two days as well.
This excuse doesn’t explain why the Minister needed to spend $15,000 on hotel stays when his wife and child lived just 6km away.

I hear the winds of the Harper era blowing in… all the “abolish the Indian Act” talk… feds would love nothing more than to drop its fiduciary and treaty obligations. Saw this coming with Carney’s conservative extractive agenda. #cdnpoli #indianact #treaties
Abolishing the Indian Act does not fix the relationship and anyone who thinks it does is naive.

Digesting #BCElection2026 & worrying about what it means for DRIPA, truth, justice and reconciliation, Indigenous land rights, & our human rights obligations.
Waking up to messages like this is exactly why.
We must work even harder to resist the erosion of Indigenous rights.

Something we have to recognize about the Tories victory in BC tonight is that it's fueled to a large extent by racism against indigenous people.

Here are the graves.
This Orange Shirt Day we are returning the Brandon Indian Residential School cemetery grounds to the Sioux Valley Dakota Nation on behalf of many First Nations whose children are buried here.
This is one of the most well documented burial grounds at a residential school in Canada with not only church and historical records but also contemporaneous newspaper articles describing what happened to these children.
You can not deny history.
