Making Politburo or Parrot cozier 📻
Weather behind the window lands today: snowfall, wind, blizzards, aurora nights.
The radio on the desk and the full sound design will take a bit longer.

Politburo or Parrot update 🦜
1. A new address: PolitburoOrParrot.com
Check it like a telegram. Double O. Double R. A single letter out of place is the parrot's work.
2. RELEASED posters now carry your official character reference from the station, and tell you the year your car finally arrives.
3. New telegrams. The parrot keeps learning.
4. A tidier desk: the case file and rulebook fold away on computers, and the top bar is cleaner on phones.

Character selection is not a Soviet practice, comrade 🫡
But ARKTIKA-7's driller still has no name. Strong, older, drinks, plays cards (gambler). He wintered here last year and won't say what he saw. "Moscow says drill there. I say drill here."
What's his name? Best one goes to the Committee 🦜

Politburo or Parrot update 🦜
1. Weather behind the window, as promised: snowfall, wind, blizzards, aurora nights. Every day looks different now.
2. We now have 100 telegrams. That's how many the Committee (and the parrot) can send you. The full game will need about 250.
3. Phones: bigger buttons, bigger telegram text, and the case file scrolls under its tabs.
4. ARRESTED posters got a new twist. Read your sentence carefully.

The commissar has filed this for future use.
"15 years. 5 for stamping a Committee telegram PARROT. 10 for proving you cannot tell them apart." 🫡
Politburo or Parrot update 🦜
Meet Sanya Shubin, the station cook.
At ARKTIKA-7 they call him Zek (ЗЭК), camp slang for a prisoner. Sasha was one.
Now the commissar is celebrating Chekist Day, and Sanya wants to bake him an anthill cake (Муравейник). He is knocking at your door. He needs a favour. Up here, it never hurts to have a friend in the organs.
1. New event: A Cake for the Commissar.
2. Thought you could escape the twelve-hour working day, comrade? Two telegrams a day now, on every shift.
3. New telegrams and a new rulebook article.
4. New phone layout.

A bit of real history behind this update:
Chekist Day is 20 December, the day the Cheka, the first Soviet secret police and later the KGB, was founded in 1917.
Zek (ЗЭК) comes from "з/к", short for заключённый, "prisoner", in camp paperwork. It's what Gulag prisoners were called, and what many of them called themselves.
So yes: a former zek bakes a cake for the Chekists 🎂
Comrades, remember this telegram? 🦜
Sanya Shubin, the cook at ARKTIKA-7. His mother still writes to him. When Director Volkov fell ill, Sasha was the one who looked after him.
Who do you think Sanya is? Who cooks? 😏
The parrot fooled me on day 14 at ARKTIKA-7: 18 years of hard labour in Yakutsk.
Can you tell the Politburo from the parrot? 🦜

Politburo or Parrot update 🦜
1. New event: The man on the ice. Easy and Normal shifts only. That's all we'll say.
2. New telegrams.
3. From your file: the commissar now keeps a file on you. Every share poster carries a note from it, and ARRESTED names the charge.
Plus fixes.
Arrested? Post your charge below.

The Easter egg: at 03:33 Robozayats switches on, claims to be Moscow & says stamp tomorrow AUTHENTIC. Ask “Who is speaking?” → it squawks Krrraaa! Don’t trust the rabbit 🐰🦜
Correction from the Central Committee: the ration notice was not ours, and dev didn't write it either. It came from the parrot 🦜
The Krasin carries no peanut butter. It never has.
Comrades who reposted it or replied without noticing were not focused. 10 years in Yakutsk.
The rest of you: stay focused 🫡
Politburo or Parrot: a notice from the Central Committee on rations 🦜
Condensed milk buys you tea: pencil marks on what's worth checking, or more time to read.
Stewed meat makes the morning after Director Volkov's vodka gentler, or clears one mistake.
Whatever is left on the shelf goes home to your family in Leningrad.
On Easy and Normal the Krasin does not come every day. When it does, every crate now carries a jar of peanut butter. Spend wisely.

The young technicians of Leningrad's House of Pioneers built him to catch the American parrot and sent him to Dr. Orlov
2. New night events: A Knock at the Door, A Light in the Old Hut, Core from 50 Metres, It Is Talking
3. Rations instead of free tins
4. New menu: with Robozayats on your side, 14 days is now Normal
5. New telegrams
6. Easter egg 😏
