A project announcement makes headlines, but it is its delivery that makes an impact, and the difference between the two is where accountability matters.✍️ As Ghana prepares for #Budget2027, it is worth taking a closer look at the country's infrastructure ambitions, particularly the Big Push. What has the programme delivered so far❓ What should the next Budget build on❓ And how can citizens better track the public investments shaping their communities❓ Our #Tracka Lead, @evelynolukeye, sets the stage for the conversation, offering a glimpse into the infrastructure questions we'll be exploring on the upcoming episode of #30MinutesWithBudgIT. We'll be taking stock of the 2026 fiscal year, examining our expectations for the 2027 Budget and looking beyond the figures to the priorities, decisions and delivery that matter to citizens. Watch this space!🗣️ The full conversation is coming, and we have plenty more to unpack. 🎙️ #30MinutesWithBudgIT #Budget2027 #BigPush #Tracka #FollowTheCedi #BudgITGhana

What does AI have to do with citizen accountability? Quite a lot, actually. At the Beyond AI session, our Tracka Lead, @evelynolukeye, led a session on #Tracka, highlighting how technology can strengthen citizens' ability to monitor public projects, engage public institutions and demand accountability. Tracka demonstrates what becomes possible when technology is designed around a practical civic need: giving people the tools and information to follow public projects and ask better questions about public spending. As Ghana explores the possibilities of artificial intelligence, conversations about technology must also consider how innovation can improve access to information, strengthen public participation and make institutions more responsive. The future of artificial intelligence must also be a future in which citizens have more power, not less. #Tracka #BeyondAI #GetInvolved #CivicTech #BudgITGhana

Citizenship is a verb!🗣️ Think about the things we hope for every day: a road that gets us home safely, a school that gives our children a fair chance, a health facility that can care for our families, and public services that work when we need them.🤔 These things don't happen in isolation; they are shaped by decisions, policies and public resources, and citizens have every reason to understand how those decisions are made. That is why we recently gathered at our office for a civic education exercise centered on something fundamental: helping citizens understand their place in governance, the rights they hold, the responsibilities they share and the power they have to demand accountability. We brought together students, young professionals, and community advocates to explore real practices, tools and channels to access the outcomes they deserve as citizens. #ActiveCitizenship #GetInformed #GetInvolved #CivicEducation

Now, every good cup of tea needs a story, and we have one from the BudgIT archives of lore. 😂 Meet Akosua, our enduring #PinkHeroine with a rather important reminder: you don't need a big title, a microphone or an office to make a difference in someone's life. Sometimes, the most meaningful thing you can do is notice that someone needs help, #getinvolved, speak up and make sure they don't have to figure everything out alone. #PinkOctober #WomensHealth #BreastCancerAwareness

Dear Adjoa, Abena, Akua....✍️ Meet Jennifer Moffatt. 💗 This #PinkOctober, she's sharing a thought on what it means to make room for women's health, ambition and wellbeing, and why being capable of so much should meet equal support. Over to you, Jennifer @MzMoffatt. 🎀 #PinkOctober #WomensHealth #BreastCancerAwareness

Dear Ama...✍️ Meet Nancy Adzo Akpene Avevor. She has a thought for every woman who has become so good at holding everything together that she forgets she is allowed to need support, too. 💗 We celebrate women's strength all the time, but Nancy invites us to look beyond the compliments and consider what that strength is costing women. Take a moment with her words. You might see yourself in them @Nance_The_Books. 🎀 #PinkOctober #WomensHealth #BreastCancerAwareness

Here is where the conversation moves beyond individual good intentions. Women's health involves families, workplaces, healthcare providers, civil society and policymakers. Everyone has a role to play in creating conditions where women can access reliable information and appropriate care. We've put together five reminders, because solidarity is lovely, but it should also be useful. 🎀 So, calling on all stakeholders...it's time! @MoF_Ghana @_GHSofficial @NHIS_Ghana @NETRIGHT @ActionAidGhana @WHO @Channel1TVGHA @NorvanReports @Connected_dev @WomenGhana @ghanawomeninbiz @GhanaWNT @utvghana @tv3_ghana @ghonetv @JoyNewsOnTV @MaameAmaPratt @MzMoffatt @NorvanReports @nccegh

Driving the Dialogue on Africa’s Digital Future 🌐🇬🇭 Following an impactful engagement at MOBEX Africa 2026, BudgIT Ghana continues to champion the intersection of digital sovereignty, civic tech, and open governance! Our team was proudly represented on the ground by the Lead Officer of our civic-tech project, Tracka, Evelyn Olukeye @evelynolukeye, engaging with leaders, innovators, and decision-makers on how secure digital identity frameworks can strengthen public trust and democratic participation across the continent. A major highlight for us was seeing our very own Board Chair, Nehemiah Attigah @attigs, take the stage to lend his expertise and voice to the discussions. As a pioneer of development technology himself, his contribution of key insights and steering critical dialogue, reinforces our commitment to shaping inclusive digital ecosystems. As Africa redefines its digital identity and sovereignty, we must remain at the fore of the fight, to ensure technology serves the public good and holds power accountable. #MOBEXAfrica2026 #BudgITGhana #DigitalSovereignty #CivicTech #OpenGov #GhanaTech
