I still have a few posts about the tragedy in Nepal hit my feed...and each time I can not help but think that the attention given to those in East TN and West Carolina did not receive anything close to the attention of what happened on the other side of the world... how can Americans ever forgive the Democratic Party allowing Americans to die and suffer for months... they are evil people...
Well, earlier today, Sunday, Sept. 13, 2026, as a lifelong Alabamian (except my first 10 years), I never expected to experience sleet and snow mixed with heavy rain in September... As Dorothy would say... no longer in Kansas (or Bham)... So this is NW Montana in September... I guess I need to prepare... (no volume)
Well, snow in the forecast and GOING TO THE SUN ROAD will almost certainly be closed this weekend if not as early as tonight … 6-12” of snow is expected near Logan’s Pass and higher elevations … after the road was closed last weekend after the most rain since I’ve moved up here… wasn’t expecting winter to arrive so soon… even so, I’m curious and hopefully will be able to drive up there before road closes … will see
Well, being a native Floridian and moving from Alabama to NW Montana I wasnt anticipating having one of these keeping me warm the first week of September … suppose to drop into the 30s this weekend and predicting 6”-12” of snow at elevations of 5K-6K+ … which is the elevation where I’m located … I’m right at 6K ft ASL… short summer … welcome to Montana

I had no idea this was being made or released … 25 yrs to the day since the original series… it has many scenes of the original men not included in the series … I will always be in awe and thankful for them. Lord knows our young people need to understand how fragile freedom is and the sacrifices made for all of us… God Bless them all… IF YOU WEREN’T AWARE OF THIS SPECIAL PLEASE TAKE TIME TO WATCH… if you have young adults or are grandparents now… have them watch this with you… it’s moving just like the series was… well done …
Prior to taking the pic I posted below , I was about 1/4 of a mile behind another full-sized truck driving on a 2 lane road in Flathead Valley, MT… it was around 1930hrs (7:30pm)… all of a sudden I saw the truck ahead hit his brakes … he had no time to swerve & I noticed debris flying from and over his truck all over the road behind him… I also noticed a large buck (deer) flying up the highway and then skidding for seemed 20 yards stopping in middle of road … I hit my brakes and slowed down,.. the driver pulled over immediately:… I stopped and asked if he needed any help … I didn’t take pics due to the deer was messed up and 2 lane road … thankfully the deer was killed on impact so no suffering BUT … I was shocked how much damage the deer caused to the left front of his truck … it was like he rammed into another vehicle … anyway, point is I immediately my thought, what if that deer would have leaped a second or two before it did … maybe it would have not been hit but more eye opening was thinking if that happened, would the driver (or if that happened to me) have instinctively swerved attempting to avoid the deer… at the speed we were traveling making an aggressive evasive snap of the wheel would likely have caused that truck to flip or even worse, left the road and off a 75-100ft cliff/ravine … that’s why I almost always make a mental note to never swerve … prepare myself mentally if a deer, beer etc darts out in front of me on a 2 lane road … Im ready to ploy through it just as I practiced when I took offensive and defensive driving courses for contract work I did back in the day… anyway, just thought I’d share … I see dead deer littering roads up here but first time seeing an actual collision… before I came up here a young man in Bham Alabama this past spring was traveling high rate of speed on a crotch rocket motorcycle around midnight and a deer darted out in front of him … no chance … he was DOA …. So was the deer… be careful out there people … especially young folks … ignore your stupid phones !!!
I was making a u-turn in a parking lot after missing a turn and saw what I thought was a life-sized deer sculpture or fake … but after a few seconds… it turned and looked right at me… I drove about 20 miles to an Airbnb I stayed at and the 3 days I did that, I saw no less than 50 deer each time …
Hello everyone… starting my 5th week in Montana and still have not secured a permanent place to stay/rent… I’ll have to work 2 years just to break even and really concerned I’ll be sleeping in my truck if something doesn’t occur in the next 10days … 30+ days of $200+/ night at the Meth-Head Inn where they don’t leave a light on for me but do leave me equipment to use for SHAKE N BAKE:.. ie., empty 2 liter coke bottle, a generic bic-lighter and few ingredients the roaches avoid (not exaggerating by much)… even so, my kids are healthy, safe and not desperate … so I have no real complaints when I think about what others are enduring … still not easy but there is a reason … will I ever know??? Irrelevant, bc God has me … being a Christian doesn’t mean no problems, challenges, heart ache and heart break … it’s being confident that this life is but a snapshot compared to eternity… one thing I realize … when I drive through the mountains … watch the sunset and see the billions of stars I’m reminded there wasn’t some massive explosion that places everything so perfectly or the complexity of the human body didn’t just materialize … sure we evolved … God made us to evolve mentally, intellectually, physically and spiritually … it’s difficult for me to understand how people, especially now can see these things and not recognize the fact that God exist… not my God, THE GOD… not a fraud… not someone who died, did nothing remarkable in their life and never witnessed performing a miracle … Jesus Christ did those things and documented verifiable history informs us of these things … most importantly he died a horrific egregious death only to rise again … a cruel, humiliating, brutal death because of my bad choices … hard to grasp … hence… FAITH… I don’t understand UAPs… energy sources created my Tesla and possibly the Egyptians with the pyramids but doesn’t mean things don’t happen or didn’t exist… what’s interesting is researching all of the proof found through science .. archeology … and most within the past 100 years … there is a YouTube Channel crated by an archeologist called, EXPEDITION BIBLE (I think) … he shows the archeological facts of events, people and places of the Bible … he lives in the Middle Esst somewhere …. Anyway, very interesting… intriguing … and thought provoking … don’t know the guy… only left a couple post but his work is worth viewing even for “non-believers” :.. non-Christian … try doing that with Buddha or the biggest fraud and charlatan, Mohammed:.. not going to find much to substantiate basically anything that would validate his claim of Muslims claim of him being a “prophet”… but there is enough historical evidence to validate he wasn’t a prophet … but an illiterate murderer, rapist, pedopholic psychopath … I guess that’s why Sharia Law and “true” Muslims are so strict on who can be educated and what they can access w respect to information sources … once they are exposed to the truth based on facts many have a a difficult time following that maniacal path :… not sure why I went all Billy Graham but not editing,.. CORRECTION regarding Montana Journey (not that anyone cares but do not like inaccuracies)… I left Bham Saturday afternoon and arrived in Montana- Glacier Park area around 9-10am Monday morning … not Tuesday … I started to new position (COO) on Tuesday ….
