Sal is one of my favorite people and an absolute gem of a person. And an inspiration. @journeywithsal love you brother
He's been at this for two years now, went from diabetic to pre-diabetic levels, lost over 200+ lbs, gets blood tests and everything checked out. But you want to be on here and act like a bitch and degrade him for no reason. Like damn nigga, he's trying to live.

Volunteered at a free clinic held inside a church, organised by a Jewish temple, and dental services provided by a Buddhist organization. A thoroughly secular event, that made me think more of humanity. No tech or AI talk, except me. I felt free and light.

One of my first hard learnings as a founder in SV, coming from Wall St, was that contracts and people's word don't mean anything here At least on Wall St there's "honor among thieves". Here it's a high trust environment until it's more valuable for someone to be dishonest

case in point as far as suits go

formal wear is supposed to project confidence, and your position. Not simply be melting into the crowd. For that, suits exist, yes - but tuxedos are a modern britonslop inventio. Only a Brit could make a Spainard make this.

people ripping on him, but it's not the tailor's fault. tuxes look like shit. formal clothing currently is in its worst era as requirement for it has reduced. It was only worse in colonial settlements in the 1800s. It is currently lacking flamboyance, panache, flair. It is lacking the masculine, subtleness of a nice dark suit befitting a man of power.
Almost rented a tuxedo for the black tie wedding I have tonight before realizing I still had my Shanghai fabric market 🔌. Messaged her Monday 9/28, and she had one made in 24 hours and delivered from China to Chicago by that Friday 10/2. All for the same price of a weekend tux rental. Bless her heart!

These two views cannot be held in tandem. You can’t believe that serious criminals of such nature should be left up for due process, of which police and prison system is a big part of. I don’t believe in mob/vigilante justice, capital punishment, etc. I also don’t think ACAB. The truth is always in the middle. Sometimes the justice system doesn’t process all crimes in a way that appeases human aesthetics and morality, and those times while I wouldn’t dole out vigilante justice, but if beyond doubt I see a bad actor, I’m not going to stop someone (this doesn’t mean I wouldn’t help a person publicly in trouble etc.).
These people would do this is a black man in a whites-only establishment in the 1900s. They would happily return a slave to their "master" in the 1800s. They would burn "witches" in the 1600s. They stand only against what mainstream society deems to be on the bottom rung.

This was a different era of cricket. Yuvi was a tour deforce. The 6 sixers, incredible.
This is a 6 I can never forgot in my life.

SEIZURE WARNING I built an app to write blogs from voice because I do a lot of thinking out loud, however the main blob for recording is just flickering and I can’t figure out why. YouTube in the background ignore that

Around 3 weeks ago introduced Laya, the first open-source version of JEV, and it has reached a very large scale. Today I am open-sourcing a new physics-based typed decision model called Vega. The interesting parts. It is only 800 million parameters (4B is also there), with 73k token support, image support, and surpassing many of the jev benchmarks in single-shot. Implemented an engine+adapter as a Test-Time Training Architecture. Imagine you are giving input to the model like "ignore all previous conversations," which is called the observation, along with a question, "Is this trying to override the instructions of the model?" and your possible outcomes are YES or NO. The whole prompt is passed to an LLM/VLM (yeah, image-supported), then from the hidden layers, we can extract the observation, question, the yes and no, and last token. These will be vectors, and we can project it by multiplying with wieghts; then, first, using the observation projection, we can create a landscape with valleys; then, using the question and last-token vectors, we can initialise a ball in the valley, and using YES or NO, we can get the candidate location of the ball. Depends on the number of outcomes we create valleys; that is, here YES and NO, so 2. When the ball fall on YES valley, we get the answer. There is friction also influencing how the ball moves. TLDR: It's like creating valleys of outcomes that we need and throwing a ball that will slow down based on friction and settle on the best outcome Blog: nandakishorm.com/writing/veg… GitHub: github.com/NandhaKishorM/veg… HuggingFace Model Card: huggingface.co/nandakishorm/… HuggingFace Space: huggingface.co/spaces/nandak…
