I’m not aware of any evidence for these sorts of claims. I’ve heard several Catholics say there are too many pieces of the True Cross to make just one cross, but I’ve never seen proof, it’s just anecdotal. Where are these “18 apostles” in Spain?
Every time I see Catholics worshipping relics on X, I think of this scene from the 2003 movie "Luther"

Did you know that in 2024 Florida passed hoa reform laws? Can you imagine how tyrannical hoa’s had to be for these laws to pass?
Spending my evenings learning about every Florida hoa law is not something I wanted to do this week. Yet, here I am and I’m about to make it someone else’s incredibly difficult problem.
Of all the quips and slam dunk quotes from the church fathers, this one from Saint Jerome has to be the top 3:

You call a business for customer service and they have an AI agent who can’t help you with what you need. You say customer service representative over and over for 10 min. They finally put you through to a human and it’s an Indian who barely speaks English. Our country sucks.

The Mormon endowment ceremony teaches that when Jesus was crucified, he was pierced with two nails in each arm: one in his palm and one in his wrist.
The Shroud of Turin, though, proves that there was only one nail in each arm, about halfway between the palm and the wrist.
You’re entitled to the view. Color me a little more skeptical.

When was it proven to be from 1st century Judea?
I’m aware of the speculation on a repaired corner, and that could plausibility account for the late dating of the edge fabric, but I wasn’t aware of anything that proves an earlier date.

Seeing as how it has been proven to be from 1st century Judea and the only study showing it’s from the Middle Ages came from testing a repaired portion of the shroud and there’s no technology from that time period that could create such an artifact, I don’t see a forgery.
Zooming in, let’s take a closer look. In the palm you see a dark spot. Now remember, this hand isn’t laying flat, it’s over the opposite hand. That means this wrist is cocked so that the hand contours over the arm. Picture how blood would drain from such a hand if the hole was in the palm.
It wouldn’t likely drain evenly all around the wound, it would drain from the lowest point of the wound. The dark area in the wrist - to me at least - suggests that the imprint of a hole is intended to be seen here.
Just my $.02, but I think even if you assume that the relic is authentic, it’s difficult to claim with absolute certainty that the hole is further down - not in the palm. Certainly possible, but not possibly absolutely certain.

Or the blood drained downward from a higher hole.
Or the blood ran out while positioning him from a hole in the wrist.
And if this is really the burial cloth, why would we expect blood there at all? Again - you can make assumptions, but that’s about it.
