Deon Richardson, outstanding, as Burke's hoops coach. 2 state titles.
He's still there, still AD- but stepped away from coaching last yr. for more family time w/his wife & 4 kids.
Basketball wins can't compare to victories like this weekend w/his 15 y/o autistic son, Bryson.

Just heard someone say that this will be the best Super Bowl halftime performance of all time. Have no doubt it will be good, but there is only one best Super Bowl performance of all time.

Teachers, as we head to winter break, remember: it is okay if you are behind in your pacing. It simply means you are not allowing arbitrary testing (not adjusted despite the pandemic) to control learning. It is time now for well-deserved rest and relaxation! – at South Carolina, USA

I am puzzled. If Congress and the Administration can agree to give trillions to corporations, big banks, airlines, and 600,000 others, why can’t they agree to appropriate $500 billion to open schools safely, in accordance with science? What about the children? and their teachers?

A few months ago some of you were hailing teachers as saints after you had to homeschool your own children. Now you want to toss those “saviors” back into schools as COVID cases continue to rise. So which is it? Deserving of a raise and respect or merely expendable?

When it comes to #reopeningschools, Trump is basically saying: Sacrifice your children, sacrifice their teachers, sacrifice their families that they could infect, because I need something to sell in November.

If you want to succeed with a difficult kid…you have to separate the attitude from the student. You don’t lower your standards, but you understand that there is always something motivating the behavior. Understanding leads to empathy… and empathy makes a relationship possible.

I couldn’t help but think of @realDonaldTrump as we conducted anti-bully training with our staff this past Friday
How unfortunate that the highest position in our country uses their power to insult, ridicule, taunt, & undermine the principles of basic human decency.
