🦜 SAVE PALAPITTA | PROTECT OUR WILD BIRDS
The Palapitta (Indian Roller), also known as Neelkanth, belongs in the wild, not in a cage. 💙
🚫 Capturing, possessing or displaying Palapittas illegally harms these beautiful birds and violates wildlife protection laws.
🌿 Let them fly freely. Say NO to bird captivity and cruelty.
📞 Report illegal display or possession of Palapitta:
☎️ Telangana State Forest Department: 1800 425 5364
☎️ Animal Warriors Conservation Society: 969 788 7888
☎️ Additional Commissioner, Urban Biodiversity, CMC: 8125971700
Seeing a Palapitta in nature may be considered auspicious, but no bird's suffering should ever be mistaken for good luck.
Let freedom take flight. 🕊️

Summer is harsh for animals, and this year the heat is more extreme than ever.
In search of water, this dog got his head stuck inside a carelessly discarded plastic jar.
A small act of negligence can become a life-threatening trap for animals. Please keep water for animals
Provide water for animals to save them from excess heat @HiHyderabad
@swachhhyd
Discarded plastics can become deadly traps for animals. In search of food or water, many get stuck inside bottles, jars, and containers, leaving them scared, injured, and helpless.
Before throwing plastics, please crush or cut them trapped.

VIDEO | Hyderabad's skies are turning risky for birds because of the continued use of banned Chinese manjha, or strings, for flying kites. These sharp, glass-coated strings used for kite flying during Makar Sankranti easily entangle birds, causing severe injuries to their wings or vital organs.
Makar Sankranti festival, locally known as Sankranti Samburulu, coincides with the peak migratory season, when thousands of birds arrive in the region. Dedicated NGOs, like Animal Warriors, work round the clock to rescue, treat, and rehabilitate injured birds. But, the task may not be easy.

Despite the ban, #Chinesemanja has resurfaced widely on e-commerce and social media platforms ahead of #Sankranti. Most listings are operated by private individuals, offering even cash-on-delivery services, making the banned product easily accessible.

Zero tolerance for Chinese Manja in Hyderabad
Chinese manja is a silent killer that has caused serious injuries and even deaths of pedestrians, two-wheeler riders, birds, and animals.
#Hyderabad Police has formed special teams to curb its illegal manufacture, storage, transport, and sale. Any person found manufacturing or selling Chinese manja will face strict legal action, which will be taken very seriously.
If you see anyone using Chinese manja, please stop them and create awareness about its dangers. Be a responsible citizen and inform the police about its sale. A timely intervention can prevent a tragedy. Let us celebrate the kite festival safely and humanely.
