Not tagging or mistagging t/b dynamics on purpose, when it costs exactly 1 second to do so, is just incredibly rude and frankly antisocial behavior. Etiquette exists for a reason, so don't act shocked when people get angry if you don't follow it.

it's literally the opposite... because fanfic is not a commodity, you "investing" time into reading a fic is not actually transactional. the community aspect is you CHOOSING to read a specific fic that has been provided to you for free by a fellow fan.
