From shopping lists, to passwords to the Little Black Book that must never be destroyed ... you need pen & paper notebooks.

I am begging you to start writing by hand to preserve your ability to think.

If you want a science reason ...
Use your phone less. Use your phone less. Use your phone less. Use your phone less. Because attention is not free.

It's a rainy Friday here on the Canadian Great Plains. Might be a good day for a used bookstore visit.

Warning: This might be an unpopular opinion here. I think all these habit trackers and notebook organization/schemes are just another symptom of the same problem with phones (compulsive behaviour) ... and 90% of people who use these will eventually go back to their phone. There. I said it.

I guess the non-answer is the answer. @scotiabank forces you to carry a phone with you 24/7 in order to access your online banking. This is a problem.
Replying to @ScotiabankHelps
I’m happy to DM if there is actually an alternative to phone-based 2FA. What I’m asking is simple: can I access Scotiabank online banking from my laptop without possessing a mobile phone? If you offer a hardware token, security key, recovery codes, or another phone-independent method, I’m happy to discuss it privately. If a mobile phone is mandatory, please just confirm that here so neither of us wastes time.

Watch this. Then put your device down. - hug a loved one - talk to someone - touch grass - play an instrument - read or write something
You'll never look at your phone again after watching this

This would be a rather easy experiment too. Also probably why homeschooling is so successful these days.
Get rid of everything digital in K-12 education, return to analog, physical texts, maps, etc. Maybe roll in a TV cart on special occasions to watch a good documentary. We need to allow our students to develop the attention spans necessary to read, learn, and think.

I believe we are gonna rotate back to analog in the coming years as a way to pushback the AI revolution. Cameras, retro gaming, alarm clocks, notebooks, etc, will have a major comeback. And companies like Apple will relaunch old products such as the iPod. This is my prediction

Yes! Reclaim your brain.
I really do believe that not journaling regularly, especially in this media landscape, is like letting yourself be lobotomized slowly

I predict that the return to everything analog will be the next technological move.

I dabble a bit in bookbinding, but this is pure artestry at work.
While some AI companies are cutting the spines off of books and throwing them in to acid baths, some companies are repairing books so they can be around another few centuries.
