Billy, this is Taylor Walls. He's a switch-hitting, defensive wizard as shortstop. Could give Ozzie Smith a run for his money. One of the most valuable defenders in the sport. The problem? He cannot hit a baseball if his life depended on it.

So you see that American League Champions banner right next to the fake one? Yeah, we'll be hanging one of those for 2026.

"Proof that analytics don't work" Hate to break it to you, but the Brewers are essentially the Rays of the National League. They use analytics a ton as well.

If you need proof analytics don’t work in the playoffs, look at the Rays' record in the World Series. Got beat by an old-school team that put the ball in play and didn’t homer all that much Congrats to the Brewers, who are essentially nine Kirby Pucketts.

Didn’t end the way we dreamed, but what a ride. One of the most special seasons of my life with the most special group of guys I’ve ever been around. The memories, the brotherhood, and the love from Tampa Bay will stay with me forever. God’s not finished writing this story. Until next year. ❤️🤞🏽

This clip of the Rays mascot having to watch the World Series trophy pass by in the way to the Brewer’s locker room before being allowed to pass is one of the most comically bizarre things I’ve ever seen on a sports broadcast.

"This group who nobody gave a chance to" Weren't they the reigning NL Central Champs and pretty heavilu favored to be a contender again? Not seeing the whole underdog gimmick here.

Gonna take a wild guess and say the teams that have probably spent 3-4x what the Rays do. It's salary cap time!

The Rays are 1 of only 7 franchises to make the World Series 3+ times in the last 20 seasons They are the only team among them that hasn’t brought home a championship.

Don't let it be lost in the shuffle of a Brewers World Series to recognize that the Tampa Bay Rays are not just a good team, but a trending organization. New ownership and an increasingly improving pipeline of young players will continue to show that this team is going to be a perennial contender in the American League

My one contribution to the unending Tampa Bay fan discourse is the local hockey team, the Lightning, is extraordinarily popular and draws remarkably well. So I think that obliterates the argument that sports by default can't work in this market.
