Elon simply defenestrating the entire HR regime, the ESG grifters, the Skittles-hair people with mouse-clicking jobs who think themselves bold social crusaders rather than a parasitic weight around any organization’s neck, is an intolerable overturning of the social order.

We can't talk about this without bringing up 1 part of "identity politics" that pundits REFUSE TO ACKNOWLEDGE: White people don't vote for Black people. In fact, white voters in BOTH PARTIES will switch sides before they vote for a Black candidate. *Cue the "not me" replies

Cloud cost and cloud architecture are *THE SAME THING*. Finance can't solve this in isolation. One of the best people I know for this kind of job found themself locked out of Twitter systems late last night. As a dad, I'm disappointed that someone is not making good choices.

A key to supporting a bottoms-up structure: create a network of collaborators as a leadership structure outside the organizational hierarchy

Do this by creating frameworks for org-level impact outside of the existing hierarchy (e.g. the aforementioned working groups). Do it at a clear sphere of influence (e.g. domain, technology, office, team, etc). Enable folks to advocate for change
