My ApeFest thoughts and highlights, coming to you a few days late:
- It was amazing to see so many familiar faces. There are so many new names on the timeline, I was worried I wouldn't know many people. Total opposite. Felt like a reunion with a bunch of old friends.
- The OGs are all getting older. I ran into one of my old colleagues and the first thing he said to me was "You look older!" (Thanks @aloksahay 😅). I know it's not just me though. It's been five years since mint, and many of us now have more greys, more kids, more wrinkles, etc.
- That speaks to the value of new blood and onboarding the next generation of apes. The club needs to evolve with crypto culture and the broader culture to stay relevant, and that's something we should embrace.
- Absolutely loved the surprise Mudwater drop. Super impressed with everybody @ Yuga and Ape for keeping it so well under wraps.
- Thought not doing a keynote was a really smart move by Figge. Return to underpromising and overdelivering. Surprise and delight.
- One of my favourite moments was going head to head with @badte_eth for the BAYC trait game championship. We played 11 rounds and he edged me out. But come on, I knew I was cooked as soon as I saw my opposition was the creator of Rara Avis 😅
- Final thought: Muddy's was my favourite venue. Felt like I was in the real life clubhouse there. Would love see more BAYC events in locations like that.
Tagging a bunch of friends I appreciated catching up with, even briefly. I know there are others I'm forgetting.

Made it to Charleston for my 6th ApeFest. I’ve been off X for both my sanity and busy with work, but running into so many apes I’ve met over the years reminds me exactly what I love about the club.
The people that made the connecting flights actually want to be here. No one is buying an ape just to try to get rich, and most of the grifters have been washed away with the market turbulence.
A bunch of interesting people, from all walks of life, connected by monkey jpegs, a CEO, and team of people that give a shit. That’s the Bored Ape Yacht Club.
Never left.

Known by many as the creatoor behind @finethelabel and all the iconic merch remixes, the driving force behind @clubhouseandco, the heart and soul of Thirsty Thursdays, and the newly ordained “Merch Muse”… she may now need to add “Merch Mule” to her bio 🤣
I’ve smuggled @288gang whiskey into the Philippines to hand-deliver to @jbondwagon. I’ve snuck @frenschocolates into Australia to share with the @AussieApes. I’ve secretly packed water, beer, and merch for delivery to other apes in Canada, Hong Kong, and Lisbon.
And over the years, I’ve also been lucky enough to receive some incredible pieces myself, usually limited/IRL-only @ApeChainHUB merch shipped from Vegas, Denver, New York, Paris, Korea, and beyond by a few absolute LEGENDS! You know who you are 👀
This concept of the “International Ape Delivery Network” is honestly one of my favorite parts of this club. It’s not about the distance traveled or even the merch itself. It’s about that connection to another club member. Someone that is willing to go the extra mile for another ape because you would do the same for them…for the culture ✊
I realized this years ago when I used to mail orange beanies to apes all over the world. Sending them was almost as rewarding as receiving something in return.
But today… I was definitely on the receiving end.
