A new @ColoradoSPH study provides a first-of-its-kind model to improve our understanding of cranial disorders in children. To date, there haven’t been any quantitative references to evaluate cranial development. Congrats to Dr. Porras and colleagues!

So today @Nature made a news feature article about our paper on the IFR of #COVID19 in developing countries (see here: dx.doi.org/10.1136/bmjgh-202…)
Funny thing is @Nature initially rejected the paper only to make it the center piece of a news article later.

I've deleted so many rants on the new COVID at-home testing program by Biden. I'd like to think he had people in the planning from all walks of life and really considered who they might have left outl but going by their "4 tests for 1 address" rule, I highly doubt they did. 1/2

If someone’s good at what they do, tell them.
If someone’s trying their best, tell them you see that too.
If someone’s there for you, thank them.
If someone’s taught you a lesson, even a painful one, thank them for that too.
And if someone’s already gone, let them go.

COVID in Colorado in four figs:
Unprecedented numbers of reported cases.
Hospital admissions rising sharply.
Hospital demand is increasing, but not as rapidly as cases or admissions.
Ventilator use decreasing.
What this means...

On top of the devastating fires yesterday, Colorado recorded the highest number of #Covid_19 cases in a single day since the start of the pandemic. Hospital admissions also rising sharply. Very high probability that someone you encounter is infectious. Mask up.

Not loving where the Colorado COVID-19 hospital numbers are headed. We were stuck on a high plateau and now the numbers are heading up. >1000 in the hospital with COVID and admitting about 125 patients/day. I love Colorado climbs, but not this kind...
