This position of PUK was only a matter time, and it makes sense if you have no choice. It sucks and I don’t like it but I see why. Masrour wants to be PM for life. Nechirvan wants to be President for life and down the Barzani line it goes, it never ends. That’s not to say Talabanis wouldn’t do the same but that’s not the case for the past two decades, it’s been one Barzani after another in the top positions and they have no will to give it up. This includes opening and shutting down major institutions like Parliament, Masoud Barzani did it before and it’s been non operational with Masrour. You can’t do that. The Region doesn’t belong to either of you, that’s what they fail to understand. PUK also has forces. PUK also has millions of support. Whatever KDP has PUK has too. The wise thing is for KDP to backtrack, say this is going too far, but sadly no side is mature and this is the result. My question is, why can’t you two clans duke it out amongst yourselves without involving the people or dividing the land and government? You’re only harming innocent people in all this. You’re taking down the Region with you. Your Clan power struggle is not the people’s struggle or problem, don’t drag the people into this—solve it with each other away from everyone else.
