After three power outages at home in the past 10 days I’ve bought a little power station sufficient to power the basics of human life. A TV , a wifi router and an Apple TV box.
I’ve told Lesley if you keep the fridge door shut that’ll be fine for 36 hours and won’t need power😂
Picked up the new @daciauk Bigster Auto 4x4 today and I have to say so far I’m very impressed. The spec, hybrid engine and quality of fit and finish are also very good, all under £30k. It’s chic basic but somehow it all works to give you something a bit different. Happy days!

Went for lunch in Tenterden today and popped in the charity shop I’ve previously found a few gems and it produced a lovely TM Lewin raincoat that looks like new with the spare buttons still in the pocket. For how much you ask? #OnePound
The perfect sort of drink for the weather outside now. A 12 year old cream sherry. #cheers
So I was looking at a LR Defender to buy as I need a 4x4 with the potholes round here and I also have to drive down muddy tracks so I’ve bucked the trend round here with shiny LRs never seeing mud and instead today bought a @daciauk Bigster 4x4 Auto for peanuts and it’s brilliant
Wondered why there were strange lights in the garden and realised it was Marty the mower showing off his 24/7 work ethic. Puts me to shame.

Finally bitten the bullet and bought a robotic lawn mower as the sit on mower has died a death after 25 years of loyal service.First impressions are good. I find myself just sitting and watching Marty the Mower doing its magic all on its own… #AiMower
Clearing out the shed there under a sheet was the kid’s quad bike I bought them over 28 years ago thats been sitting untouched for at least 20 years. A new battery and a quick change of oils etc. it’s just like the old days not allowing them on it and me having all the fun.
Very proud Dad here.

Weather can’t make its mind up what it’s going to do this evening in Rathlee, Co.Sligo. Still looks beautiful regardless.

Always joked my first good review in The Guardian’d kill me. This likely as good as it’ll get & I’m still standing! Even call me ‘resourceful’!!
