well, that is understandable. for you it might be nigh impossible to differentiate between a druid and a regular animal. ... unless the druid makes it glaringly obvious with their behavior.

I have a friend who is a druid and hides as an animal because he’s shy.. naturally though, I wouldn’t notice any specific look in anyone’s eyes. I can’t even really tell a person’s eye color if it isn’t very.. out there?

the main difference is in the eyes, though not always easy to spot. familiars and druids have an intelligence behind their gaze that many animals do not possess, at least not in such quantities.

i've lived this way for years and turned out fine. also, one is not truly lonely when you've got oak father's children all around you. they are all i ever needed.
