Relationships are the context for life transformation. We pull away from other people because it makes it easier for us to stay the same.

Something is absolutely wrong with our society that depression has become an acceptable excuse for murder.
Interesting take
I decided to sleep on JD Vance’s post from yesterday before commenting on it substantively. I have done so, and given it substantial thought.
My verdict? Here is what I believe that post actually was saying:
“Yeah we lost the election big time. But it’s not my fault, it’s the fault of the guy who made me who I am, and to whom I owe my entire political career. If only everybody had listened to me everything would have been OK. Oh yeah, I’m specifically throwing my boss under the bus, but I am also impliedly throwing Rubio and Hegseth under the bus too because I want to be President. No, I’m not going to talk about the way my lunatic belief that the Iranian mullahs could be reasoned with is really what brought us to this point. I’m also not going to talk about how my hatred of Israel and alliance with fellow Israel-haters and groyper-adjacent loons like Tucker chases away far more voters than it attracts. In other words, I’m not taking responsibility for anything and blaming everybody else. And I’m dropping this literally hours after the election is over so I can set the narrative now before anybody else has a chance to talk that says I’m the good guy, that MAGA is dead, and that I’m the leader of what comes next. No, I did not coordinate this with Trump, I just told him I’m going to do it. And he will say it’s OK because if he does not he’ll get savaged with reports that he has lost control of the Presidency, which was kind of what I wanted. It’s DC. Loyalty does not matter. Vote for me for President.”
Does loyalty matter? I believe it does, because if someone is disloyal to the man who made them, they will also be disloyal to the voters who put them into office.
My 2c.
(And yes, if Vance is the nominee I’ll still vote for him over communist jihadists, but now is the time to debate these kinds of issues inside our own movement.)

The world LOVES Christians if they can squeeze into their mold.
You can even be a white megachurch pastor, run and win a US Senate seat, and nobody will flinch about mixing religion and politics.
Nobody dislikes a mainline Protestant.

This is what happen when folks who don’t understand statistics try to position themselves as thought leaders. Pooling ignorance is not good leadership.
Only 17% of white evangelicals voted. The other 83% need to repent. Their pastors need to resign.

This is an incorrect understanding of who voted versus who did not.
Data shows that 17% of the total electorate in 2026 identified as white evangelical. Based on trends from past elections 85% of white evangelicals voted in the 2026 election.

“YOUR PARTY DOES NOT OWN YOUR VOTE.”
Democrat State Rep. @KarenWhitsett4 (D-Detroit) is defending Haley Stevens after she crossed party lines to endorse Republican Mike Rogers.
Whitsett, who also backs Rogers, didn’t hold back:
“Haley Stevens didn't have to endorse Mike Rogers. She chose conscience over party, and Black Democratic leaders attacked her instead of asking why.”
“If unity requires obedience, it is not unity. It is control.”
I interviewed Karen on The Good Report about why she chose faith over politics. Her story is powerful, and her message today is clear:
“Your vote belongs to you. No party, organization, or politician has the right to pressure you into silence.”

The answer for lostness is not as simple as *church planting* 👇
1️⃣ Places like Utah County need courageous church-planting missionaries who are willing to say “yes” to God’s call.
2️⃣ Sacrificial sending churches are needed to raise up leaders, send them out, and care for them along the way.
3️⃣ And the Southern Baptist Family is needed to help new churches LAUNCH and STAY.
This has been the recipe over the last decade in Utah County, and we are believing God for more of this — everywhere for everyone.
Missionary applications to IMB have increased 500% since 2018.
And opportunities to participate in the mission continue to expand:
➡️ Growing NextGen participation
➡️ Growing Masters 55+ participation
➡️ Nearly 400 global missionary partners

Kristin Logan had Stage 4 cancer.
She waited 9 months in Canada to get a diagnosis. And then she was given a brochure for MAID to use to kill herself.
Instead, she went to the United States for treatment and now she's doing great.
Canada must shut down MAID and help patients.
