> be AI company > scrape the entire internet > ignore licenses and copyright > download millions of pirated books > use them to train frontier models > spend tens of millions buying physical books > cut off their spines > scan every page > destroy the originals > lecture everyone else about intellectual property > we are the good guys

We added two sentences to Claude Code's prompt on Opus 5.5 to steer it away from recreating someone else's specific game because using Claude to infringe IP is against our usage policy. Original games, genre games, and games built from your own designs and assets are meant to keep working. We'll continue to iterate to ensure we're striking the right balance. In the meantime, if Claude turns down something that's yours, send it my way.

there is no true freedom, until you go into space for the matrix of earthly powers exceedingly overwhelm thee and when they inevitably come to thee in space, you shall venture even further into deep space verily, only death offers true freedom from your fellow consciousnesses

Yeah, much easier to cool in space. ~1300 W/m^2 is easily achievable for an aluminum radiator pointed away from the Sun, as it is mostly just seeing cosmic background radiation at ~3 degrees above absolute zero! Solar panels generate ~250 W/m^2, so you should expect them to have ~5 times the area of the radiator. Most of the mass of the satellite is solar panels.

Is the police attacking GrapheneOS users? Netherlands is launching a large-scale police operation to seize Google Pixel Phones, part of a major state-sponsored campaign against GrapheneOS. Some of the citizens are fleeing the country, afraid of police abuse. They can track phones through cellular networks, but locating a device doesn't mean they can decrypt it. The state will do anything to stop privacy-focused users. If you thought you were safe from criminals while using GOS, you were right, and the government doesn't like that. They don't want you to be safe; they want control, and they will enforce it by any means possible. We're reaching a point where people may feel they need to hide the fact that they're using GrapheneOS. And that's an even stronger reason why we should continue using it. Now, Pixel Devices, then scan your ID to access weather reports and get your ID leaked by shitty government database security. Privacy is not a crime. It's a human right. Fight for privacy. Fight for freedom.

See ad.nl/binnenland/paniek-in-o… for an example of what's ongoing in the Netherlands to scare people away from using open source privacy projects. It's also ongoing in Germany at the same time with similar talking points. This largely started in Spain and has been worst in France.

If you’re under 26, you have never lived a day without someone orbiting above you. 26 years ago today, the first resident crew arrived at the ISS. Humanity has had a home in space ever since. The research and advances made possible by our crews, teams on the ground and international partners have helped prepare us to live and work on the Moon and Mars. As we transition to the next era of our presence in low Earth orbit, we build on everything they have made possible.

they also make like 40k a year and have to live in the yookay. That’s how autistic for cars they are.
This sounds insane, but he’s right F1 teams are made up of the most autistic engineers you can think of They do the craziest design optimizations all to save grams on weight or reduce drag by tenths of a percent It’s shame because their talents could be used on things that actually matter

I designed these three parts entirely with my Neuralink, then watched them come off the 3D printer. Sunglasses rack, RC controller case, and a custom cubby for our tire machine. The tech is cool. The feeling of taking an idea that only existed in my head and holding it a few hours later is something else entirely. I’ve always loved making things. The method changed. The feeling didn’t. What would you design first if you could go from thought to physical object this fast? #3DPrinting #BCI #Maker @Neuralink @Neuropod @Elon Musk @Barrow Neurological Institute
