🇨🇦 WATERLOO SCHOOL VIGIL RAISES SERIOUS QUESTIONS ABOUT ACCOUNTABILITY!
🚨 Are political messages taking priority over the safety and well-being of Canadian students?
A concerning post shared on Nextdoor by Waterloo resident Dick Holshorst is raising questions about an alleged political vigil held inside a Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) high school on October 8, 2024, just one day after the anniversary of the October 7 attacks in Israel.
According to the post, the display included:
🔴 Signs reading “MURDERED” and “FREE PALESTINE.”
🔴 Photographs, candles, flowers, and additional political messaging.
🔴 A demonstration that the author believes raises questions about whether Jewish students felt safe and supported.
But here's where things become even more concerning.
The post alleges that WRDSB trustees, including Kathleen Woodcock and Scott Piatkowski, were aware of the vigil and display.
Both individuals are involved in the upcoming October 26 municipal elections.
📌 Kathleen Woodcock is seeking another term as a WRDSB trustee.
📌 Scott Piatkowski is running for Waterloo City Council in Ward 5.
The claims about trustee awareness have not been independently verified, and awareness alone does not establish wrongdoing. However, the public deserves answers.
WHO APPROVED THIS DISPLAY?
WERE PARENTS INFORMED?
WHAT ACTIONS WERE TAKEN TO ENSURE EVERY STUDENT FELT SAFE?
Our schools should be places where children learn, grow, and feel protected, regardless of their religion, ethnicity, or political beliefs.
Jewish students deserve safety and respect. Palestinian students deserve the same. No child should feel intimidated or excluded because of international conflicts.
Political expression has a place in education, but school administrators also have a responsibility to prevent harassment and discrimination.
As Canadians, we should be asking whether our education system is putting students first.
This isn't about choosing sides in an overseas conflict. It's about accountability, transparency, and protecting Canadian children.
With election day approaching, Waterloo residents deserve clear answers from those seeking public office.
🇨🇦 Our children deserve an education, not political division.
What do you think? Should political demonstrations be permitted inside Canadian schools?

ALBERTA CONSTITUTIONAL ALERT 🚨
Paul Plamondon has just issued what amounts to a Unilateral Declaration of Independence for the newly formed country of Quebec!
By refusing to take an oath to a “foreign king”, @PaulPlamondon has just declared that Quebec is no longer governed under the Constitution of Canada!
GOD BLESS AND GOD SPEED
PRESIDENT ST PIERRE PLAMONDON!
VIVE LE QUEBEC LIBRE!
‼️JUST IN: Quebec’s premier-elect is moving to BAN the King’s representative from his government's swearing in ceremony - refuses to take oath to the King.
Paul St-Pierre Plamondon said he is seeking legal advice so the lieutenant-governor does not take part in the swearing-in of MNAs.
He refuses the oath to the King, calling it a lie as his first act in the legislature.
“There is something abnormal about a foreign king coming to tell us what to do,” he said.
I love this. Get these foreign kings out of here.
The power belongs to the PEOPLE.
Finally, someone has the courage to just ACT. No more asking, just DO IT.
