Just can't see any further escalation in Iran, it'll be carry on with blockades and status quo at worst. Somebody has to give up something or we could be still here in 12 months

Today’s RBA decision means interest rates have been jacked up a massive 125 basis points this year. Labor is trying to blame the Middle East. But no other advanced economy has raised rates by nearly as much. The difference: Labor’s unchecked spending is fuelling inflation.

Sorry to co-opt this post Warren but this is what you're going get again with the left bloc in NZ and that 5.5% bloodbath OCR will feel like Xmas
RBA has updated forecasts with government spending projected to grow by 3.8% by June 2027. That is straight out of various governments budget papers. When the economy has a potential growth rate of 2%, this rate of government spending is the standout feature of our economy. Consumer spending barely exceeds population growth in the RBAs projections.

The physical oil market is fully balanced, so if the shipping costs and insurance costs drop from here, we will see MUCH lower prices

Just learned Austin Tx founder Adam Robinson the founder of Moltsets and RB2B and his wife and children were on the private aircraft that crashed yesterday. The flight originated in Austin and was on the way to the Bahamas Considering the past few months, losing Josh Baer the same way, this is terrible news

Oil is down 4%, been here before.
BREAKING: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi says Tehran and Washington have now reached what he described as a “two-day plan” for de-escalation. “On the first day, the U.S. implements a set of measures, and on the second day, the Strait of Hormuz reopens and transit returns to its previous state.” Araghchi said Iran is demanding the cancellation of new sanctions imposed after the memorandum, a reduction of U.S. military forces to previous levels, the lifting of the blockade, and implementation of previously expected oil-sanctions exemptions.
