Alphabet Sports Collective rejects the idea that intentionally eliminating inclusive activities will contribute to a more diverse, successful game. We fear it will instead provide a home for bigotry in hockey. We are proud of our ambassadors, and allies who have voiced their concerns and their disapproval publicly. It's a clear indication that the League's decision is terribly misaligned with the majority of those in and around the game. To the Queer community, we see you. We share this frustration with you. We have reached out to the NHL and the NHLPA to question this decision, provide rationale of why this change can cause harm, and advocate for it to be reversed.
