Love when my words collide. Heated Rivalry gets a shoutout in NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani's update on the snow. "I can think of no better excuse for New Yorkers to stay home, take a long nap or take advantage of our public library's offer of free access to Heated Rivalry," he says.

My friend Brian Bannon (@bbannon), chief of the New York Public Library, wrote an excellent piece in today's New York Times about a frequently asked question: Does listening to audiobooks count as reading? (Answer: YES.) @nypl @nyt nytimes.com/2025/11/23/opini…

I grew up thinking listening did not “count.” Dyslexia taught me otherwise. My guest essay in today’s New York Times is on why reading with eyes, ears, and even both together all count as reading. nytimes.com/2025/11/23/opini…

Many of us joined and then stayed with the library field because of you and your vision. So it’s fitting your next venture will launch the next generation of field leaders! @UW_iSchool won the lottery with you! Thank you for inspiring us and welcome to the US! #rockonrolf
