Personal update: today my time at @OilersNation comes to an end. Was my choice and it was very tough. I owe a lot to @zjlaing and @jsbmbaggedmilk who gave me a chance and guided me along the way. The people at ON are passionate about their craft and I’ll miss that. 1/2

8 games into the Bakersfield season, the only player to have 0 goals against at evens having played all 8 is William Nicholl. His linemate Ethan Keppan hasn’t been on for one in his 7 games. Last night that was the only line that competed and actually pushed the river.

Eemil Vinni went 33-35 tonight in a 4-1 loss in Fort Wayne. I’ll be doing a post on him on Monday. The young man is incredibly athletic. If that back is better, it will be very intriguing to watch his development.

FWIW as I’ve said to @Bob_Stauffer for years, I think this team is far more effective in all 3 zones when their offensive attack is more focused on the cycle. Mr. Kelly’s informative post is telling.

I just really enjoy Colton Dach on the wing. When Savoie and Hyman return, there are a lot of creative winger pairs available with Dach on wing. Ike Howard with a pass first visionary on his line is all he needs. He’s gonna score when that happens.

If you’re looking for a reason why the Oilers are more challenged in the 2nd period this is part of the issue. Continued failed exits/entries. Lead to more defending. Long changes make it worse.
