I truly truly loathe the tone of voice and writing style of AI. How everything written with it contains of incredibly unnecessary negations. Each idea starting with "X isn't blah, but blah", or "Not x, not y, just z" and all of that. It's so up and down and repetitive.
Fuck Google and fuck their bullshit. This is insane.
Google is now threatening America's schools, saying they will turn off their core search functions if schools choose to entirely block AI.

Been looking for a meetup to go to and scrolling through the lists, I found actual mf'rs calling AI superintelligence.
Is the #Phoenix tech scene as absolutely baron and dead as meetup.com would have you think? Things look like they've devolved into social gatherings under the guise of tech or mindless AI dribble.

There be s just no reason for it. FreeBSD is 99.9% GPL free, has Linux ABI compatibility, OCI containers, more driver support, easily configured for same env
AlpineBSD is building a free operating system with a strict ban on AI-generated code.
It combines the NetBSD kernel with an Alpine Linux-inspired software environment.
The ban covers more than code. Contributions containing AI-generated documentation, packaging or other assets aren’t accepted either.
Its base system and main software repository must stay free of generative AI output. Some tools, including GCC, are pinned to their last versions without it.
Users can still choose separate repositories containing AI-generated software. Those packages are labelled “tainted.”
The project is still under development, with no installer available yet.
