The Macbook Pro with a touchscreen still doesnt seem to make much sense to me unless... Apple has plans to bring iOS/MacOS close together in future hardware and wants a population of touch-enabled devices ahead of that?

I'm curious why the MacBook Pro needs a touchscreen? On Windows it made sense for devices where the screen could pivot around into a tablet...but in a normal laptop mode, touchscreen is not needed.

I dont think Apple is said to be releasing a convertible PC tomorrow, right? Hopefully they do, that would be interesting but a standard laptop+touch isnt interesting at all.
