I've written a book! It's called 'Self-Helpless', and it's my take on the self-improvement industry. It's funny (I hope). In SA shops in Sept and available to pre-order as e-book now: a.co/8WdC51Z
Urgh guys this place is awful. Just bottom-feeders and hate-peddlers. Free yourself and live your one wild and precious life away from these sewage-dwellers. Fill your time with people in real life who love you. ✌️
Hi Renaldo! 👋 You are VERY brave tweeting about someone whose account has been dormant for years but let me just address a few things. 1. If Daily Maverick’s credibility is “so low”, why did you so eagerly agree to participate in our NMB elections debate this week? Weird. 1/2
Woke Liberalism is an illness. Imagine accusing all white South Africans of being racist just because her parents might have been, and that rubbed off on her.
@dailymaverick, this is why your credibility is at the lowest level it has ever been.
2/2 My parents are actually not South African and I was not raised steeped in the hatred of apartheid, unlike you. And I still stand by everything that I said in that decade-plus old video. And it STILL applies to me too. Love ya, good luck in the LGE xx
How rude, I forgot to tag you! @RenaldoGouws this is about you, since unlike you I prefer to address people directly rather than behind their backs. 👍
Gosh @AnthonyBrink_SA I really have missed out on a lot here if the likes of you are allowed to spout your demented nonsense unchecked. I mean you said it best yourself. Please everyone, go check out this man’s tweets to get a sense of exactly how unhinged he is.
Hello Ernst! Nah. You continuously and knowingly keep company with white nationalist entities, as I laid out very specifically in the vid. Watch again? 1/2
Dear Rebecca Davis (@becsplanb), I watched your video on the Daily Maverick's YouTube channel. The one in which you spend 15 minutes circling around the idea that Lex Libertas has links to crazy right wing groups from the 1980s and 1990s without ever asserting it.
It reminded me of the MSNBC stories suggesting that Donald Trump must be a Nazi, because he spoke at Madison Square Garden, and there were Nazis at Madison Square Garden in 1939.
You should know that I genuinely burst out laughing when I heard you say that when we say that there is wisdom to be found in the past, even though the past is not a destination, it's (according to you) impossible to interpret that in any other way as an endorsement of apartheid. You then make it clear that your viewers should consider me as a racist despite the fact that (as you concede very explicitly) there is no evidence of any racism.
I suppose you never considered just how shallow that type of reasoning is. It comes across as particularly desperate to make a political point in the absence of evidence.
You reached out to me directly on October 8, asking if I'd be willing to agree to an interview. I agreed, and suggested dates, but you never responded. And so you continued with this skit without asking for comment and without reporting on the other side of the story. That's perfectly predictable behaviour for a political activist, but extremely unprofessional for a journalist.
Video in which Renaldo Gouws and Roman Cabanac discuss how Roman can’t listen to Queen because Freddie Mercury was gay, and also that his death from AIDS is proof that God exists. Cc @jsteenhuisen @helenzille
I am also absolutely certain that @jsteenhuisen and @helenzille already know about this video as it is circulating among DA employees, many of whom are appalled by these appointments.
“But the ANC is worse”. Sure. The ANC-run government also fired spokesperson Mcintosh Polela for a homophobic tweet: iol.co.za/news/south-africa/…

Also, in today's Cape Times, my review of #SelfHelpless by @becsplanb!
(I saw three strangers discussing the review and the book in a coffee shop this morning - quite a surreal experience.)
Tomorrow (Friday 14 Sept) I'll be in conversation with John Maytham at the @CapeTalk studios about my new book 'Self-Helpless' at 17h00. You're invited to join us - just SMS your name, ID number & the word 'BOOK' to 31567, and come!
If you're in Joburg next Wednesday 19 September, I'll be launching my new book 'Self-Helpless' at Love Books in Melville, 18h00, and I'd love to see you there.
My partner @Sage_Of_Absurd and I have produced a feature on gay Muslims. It was hard to research and will be unpopular in some circles, but hopefully also helpful to some: dailymaverick.co.za/article/…

Don’t touch me on my tekkies!
For the ever-provocative columnist Haji Mohamed Dawjee (@Sage_Of_Absurd), tekkies are not just cool but a political statement to people of colour.
