Today is Memorial Day in America – a day of national respect for each and every person who defended America and freedom in uniform.
Without the United States, there simply would have been no European freedom – and the 20th century proved this absolutely clearly. Now Russia’s full-scale war is not only against Ukraine, but also against the very format of such a Europe – a free, democratic, united Europe. It is Euro-Atlantic unity that has been, and remains, the foundation of the world’s economic and, in many respects, social development after World War II.
Ukraine is grateful to the United States for supporting our defense and to all compassionate American hearts that continue to support Ukraine.
This war must be ended – and ended in a dignified way. And America’s role in this – America, which Russia fears – truly can be one of leadership: in supporting our defense of life here and our ability, later on, to help defend life for other nations, those who truly need it.

MAGA, on the other hand, are 100% onboard with economic collapse and everyone being poorer. Causing libs to suffer at any cost has always been the goal.
I love this because by definition a penthouse is on the top floor of a building, there are only as many penthouses as there are apartment buildings, they are finite and rare.
Actually, AI/Robotics will mean everyone can have a penthouse if they want. The output of goods & services will be several orders of magnitude higher than today’s economy.

I notice the legacy outlets reporting on Trump in a way that makes him seem less crazy than he is.
I wonder if this is because they know their audience cannot handle the bare facts of what’s happening. The reality would be too upsetting for many people.
I have been confused about MAGA since 2015. This Iran war thing shows me I’m still confused; why is *this* the thing that MAGA won’t tolerate? There were so many other insane things they excused. My fellow countrymen are a total mystery to me.

A functioning Congress, an impartial judiciary, a sane electorate, any one of these could stop Trump.
The fact that he continues to be in power just shows how hollowed out everything is.
These Silicon Valley types and faux rationalists claimed they were voting for Trump because of his policies.
They observed 4 years of Trump lying non-stopped, and yet somehow they believed he was going to govern exactly as he claimed.
